Okay, who hasn't introduced their character yet? Other than LordLeto, that is......
I don't think we've seen Stroph's character yet.
We can always say late joiners came with the Kings' Armies or a later ship of reinforcements I suppose.
I'm pretty sure Dhampir will be joining in. Can anyone suggest appropriate weapons for a young son of a minor German noble? Or titles and period names in German (first names, I mean).

As Deaghaidh said, I don't know an appropriate name or title for my character or weapons/armor that such a character would have.

I suppose Im biased, Wilhelm is the root of my name, William. Plus you could always over play the German accent and have him introduce himself as Vilhelm.

Younger sons generally don't have a title when they are a son of a Count or Baron....Depending on your character's age, and if you were training to be a knight you might have plate mail....Warhammer is nice and all, but probably not a typical german arm to use...Probably the typical sword, dagger, shield, and lance I would think...
As for Mackenzie Smith<Mac> being like Andre the Giant...I didn't really pattern him after Andre...Forgot all about that movie, actually. Plus, Mac is in REALLY good shape. You have to be to swing those massive smithy tools all day...

Well with the development of more and heavier plate armor crush weapons like maces and hammers became more and more popular given that swords sucked against plate.
You know of any sites that give a history of weapons? All I ever find is ones for sale.

Hmm, sorry, I've been quite busy, hope Kazimierz can still fit into the grand plan. Just for reference, he's a Polish knight, equipped with a heavy spear and a bastard sword, along with a shield that bears the white eagle of Poland. Very rebellious against authority, especially Germans (Teutons). While he does lead a band of knights, they are quite swift and agile.

I'm not so sure it was in use yet, the elaborate armours and their counters were not introduced until 1200-1300-1400.. but if you REALLY want to know there is a lengthy discussion in the OOC of book V or VI of the FC
Oh, and I've done a spot of spring cleaning, merging posts and so to avoid newcomers wading through tens of pages to get enlisted

In fact something struck me, I'm not so sure knights fought with lances as much as charged with a general melee weapon?
At later points they surely used lances at charge weapons to be discarded once broken, but also this early?
