sorry about the name A, yes I know he is captured.. we discussed it on page two
I just disagreed with templars fighting in a secular band of ragtags thats all
D I agree, and as you will see the Hospitallers are very badass

In fact they were only slightly less powerfull (I researched the Knight Orders for the CK beta) but kept a bit more out of secular politics and spread their affiliations a tad wider, thus not getting caught in the powerplay of the French King over his wish to nominate his own Pope (the french king had let the templars run his exchenquer, whci they did as bankers for many a nation or noble, but the French King also owed them huge amounts thus by reducing them completely he recouped his debts, their bankng business and more inportantly their vast lands in France, he never got their money, not their busines.. most of it melted seemlessly into the Hospitallers businesses and the men into the Spanish Knight orders) but he did get the land
The Teutons left the Holy land a bit earlier having far less possiesion there and removed their headquarter to Venice actually before finally removing it to Marienburgh in Preussen.. there they settled as one of several knight orders, and finally merged with the local large but poor "Brothers of the Sword"
Both Hospitaller and Teutons exists today.. the Hospitallers as both the KNight order of Malta (their final refuge after Cyprus and Rhodes) and a poretestant (english Angelican actaully) help organisation
Wnat more? The Teutons alsoe covernted parts of their activities to protestantism, thus several of their German Chapter houses are in fact protestant, most noteworthy the North German ones
Both orders still bestow knight hoods though the Maltese one is VERY exclusive
