Here the Stats for Roman Empire:

Victorypoints: 11
Lost: 13 provinces :(
Inflation during my total reign:7%
Losses
Infantry (total) 375,438
Cavalry (total) 48,908

Thanks

Joe (Sapphire)

You certainly got smashed around the globe

In the future there might be an example of some finer tactic to defend yourself.

When you get attacked from a direction in which you can release vassals and you are certain you lose the war just release them and the path of the Attacker can be blocked.
If it is not blocked wait for a month or two and ask your vassals into your aliance and most of the time you will get an extra few months of space as your enemy concentrates on your allies first. :D

Stats you say. Here we go:

Gained: 83 VP
Inflation: +9.8%
Provinces Gained: 5 (Kalmuk, Azov, Kerch, Crimea, Bujak)
Provinces Lost: 2 (Cyprus. Trabzon)
Total Gain: 3

Military losses
Infantry: 76600/35884/40716
Cavalry: 20382/6169/14213

That was a pretty tough decade, purely for the events. Unlucky choice, eh? Lets hope England is a little easier.

Hey guys, do you count vassalised provinces as lost provinces or only if they are not vassal anymore/do not excist anymore/ are no part of your alliance+no vassal??????

and then when you loose provinces during a game will this be lowered from your total?

Okay, how did your get 267 VPs and lose 2 provinces? That high on battle score? Creating vassals give you that many points? If that's so, I should have tried it :p

I never count vassalised states as belonging to myself, and only count those I directly control. I guess if you end up with less provinces than you started, that could count against your grand total, but otherwise it doesnt bother me.

Shall we implement this rules then..?

So, for the RE I got 4 provinces but lost 6 so this will be -2.
Too bad I had no other choice because otherwise i would have ended up in BB wars right away.

In my England game I have the same grand problem and so vassalized all of scotland 5 prov, lost 2 prov and gained 2 so taht is a total of -5.

Yep, impiment the rule. (but maybe I will replay the england game, too bad for the decoys then he...)

I agree. You lose provinces, but this is made up for in the VP bonuses for creating vassals, etc.

I also got some losses as the RE and I thinkmy england game will not be very nice either. But I am now replaying it without letting loose those vassals.

The what will we do now question.

Question: we have arrived at 1200 and have 2 choices before us.

1. We will go on with the game we play at the moment. And do not have any real mongol invasion. But, we will have our own history as we created it.

2. We will skip to the 1205 scenario and do have a real mongol invasion spree. But we will lose our own made history.

(You could say we take option 1, and go mongol in the next game. That is a certain possibility but many of us will end in 10 years of BB war and in the end make a mongol empire the Ai can not control.)

I am in favor of option 2. Waht do you guys think?

:) Sigh!!! My nice KofJ is so vast that it reached the the border of Asia Minor and looking at Thrace

One question!!! to order to do Opinon 2, do we have to download ME 0.3 then???

Thanks

Joe (Sapphire)

PS: To be honest, I would rather to do Opinon 1 and it is rather fun to see KofJ expanded to such as extent that it is biggist empire in Middle East ;) The only great power that can stop KofJ are Skuelk Empire (sp?) And S Empire was so nervous that it declared war upon KofJ just few months before end of English game. :D I can do Opinon 2 Mongol with no problem when I download ME 0.3. And play Opinon 1 at the same time and only give you news about Empire of Jersualem every ten years since all the nations kept declaring war on KofJ. :p

Those cool guys have reached their BB limit by now. It is certainly worth it to see your KofJ fall down or expand ever more but the most of us will end up in more and more BB wars while we progress.

Let's wait what Mike has to say.

And I do not think you have to download Version 0,3

Will a Mongol Horde really not appear? Thats a shame, kinda invalidates Flagg's 'To the East, chaps!' thing. If the Mongol Horde will not appear, then I suggest yes - lets restart the game in 1200, or 1220, or whenever, and brace ourselves for impact.

So I guess that would be a vote for option 2.

Incidentally, Im studying for an exam on Friday, so I wont throw up an English post till the weekend. Sorry.
