Excellent work you guys. I like the three different styles. Mosby sure went on a tear with Aragon, I am still waiting for his Screen shot for that one.

But yes, Sapphire and I were battling quite evenly until Mosby went and disintegrated us. Very nasty, that chap.

You both had twice as much vp's as I had due to a very good game as the Almohads. As them I had no chance at all to go for Iberia and so Aragon was still thriving when I got its crown, and then. it all happened.

Have some pic's wit me and they are online in about an hour.

Treasury went from 192 to 34

I must mention a bit about this. That treasury I left the Almohads allowed them to keep something like 70,000 troops wandering North Africa, which Leon and I couldn't hope to cope with. Leon stole all but one of my sieges with their general, and I couldn't get the Almohads to agree to a decent peace. I stab-hit their score into the dust. They ended up at something like -600 VPs after the war, and the peace I got was only for about 35% out of 70%, but I was running out of time.
:(
I won't be able to keep up with you if I don't take inflation! :p

That is just the reason why I chose to attack them all by myself. But hey, then you have to be strong.....

Good work daniel... Are you going to write some AAr's about your game's?

Well, maybe.... I've never done that kind of thing before, just written nonfiction stuff and college papers (I do argumentative writing mostly...note how I argued with you :p ) But I've read a ton of historical fiction. Used to read alot of G. A. Henty novels. Maybe, maybe....

By the way, I'm DSMyers not DSMeyers :)
It's sorta annoying because people here misspell it too, all the time

I didn't realize Leon had that general, but even if I had, there is no way I could have taken on the Almohads by myself. They had too much money, and over 40,000 troops in Spain at the beginning, if I remember right. Probably not that much, but alot more than me, and they recruited furiously at the beginning of the war.

How do you all like this scenario?

I've read elsewhere that it still has some stability issues (ie- it crashes unexpectedly or won't load the saves,) but I'd love to have it as a medieval 'scenario.' Have you had any problems with it?

All right,,,,,.....eh, well, I will just call you Daniel in the future so I am sure I say it right....

And for the AAR, jsut give it a try, with the Almohads . :) Nobody is going to say to you you are a bad writer and the nice thing of it everybody has a personal style. For example look at the differences between Sapphire and me, we have done halfa a dozen AARs togheter by now (ReadAArs choice 1 & 2/ Free company (for a while) this aar and its forerunner) and have a totally different style but it is very much fun writing togheter...

1150-1160 = Kingdom of Jerusalem
1160-1170 = Almohads
1170-1180 = Aragon (If one of us did not kill them in 1160-1170)
1180-1190 = Roman Empire
1190-1200 = England (third crusade/ Richard Lionheart)
1200-1210 = Gelre (if they still exist in all games. Otherwise another Dutch minor)
1210-1220 = Mongol Empire
1220+ = ?

As you see above our next game will be the Roman empire. Maybe a bit of a wierd question but it still is possible: do you all have a still 'living' Roman empire?

For the comming weekend I will play them and hope all of you have posted their aragonese game by monday so I can write and post....

Cheers, we are going strong....

p.s.: Looking foreward to our big bash, as the Mongols........

The crashes are, in theory, not more nor less frequent than in a standard GC (although with the last additions of two new scenarios things have become more complex for us in tracking all possible bugs). The problems with savegames is indeed a new problem we encountered in 0.3 and we're still struggling to find out where this problem comes from :(

Got the Roman Empire; it's alive and well :D Actually it wasn't doing that well till I got ahold of it yesterday. How about my first AAR chapter be about Aragon? Otherwise it'll be a bit out of order....

I hope the triple post wasnt too much, decided to personalise my AAR a bit, so as to make it more fun to write. If its starts getting too long, dont hesitate to say, and I'll tone it back a bit.

Mike I really enjoyed the Flagg story of your AAR for Aragon. It was very interesting. At first I thought you were going to seize lands in Italy and off of Iberia to perserve Aragon's glory. What is the next country you are all playing as?

Me too, it is possible I might be a worst one in this round ;)

But when I can get that chapter done is little hard as I got these exams come up. :( :(
Damn!!

However, If I found out that by midnight on Sunday's night that I didn't finish it. I will have to provide you a very short one :(

I am sorry but when I finished these bloodly exams then I can do it. But Exams is far more important than anything I am doing online :eek:o

Thanks

Thanks, Flagg was a lot of fun. Totally derivative of Mr. King, of course. Pop fiction at its best :) But I really felt bored writing the first two chapters, so I decided to add a little something that both made the gameplay more fun - I wont be trying to just conquer from now on, so Im pretty much out of the running for #1 VP, and obviously it makes the writing more fun.

I hope no one takes offense at my ghastly mish-mash of Christian theology and 20th-century fiction, for none was meant.

OH, and the next country is the Eastern Roman Empire - huzzah!

Which story did you like Flagg the best in? I ask as he has appeared in a few of Mr. Kings novels over the years.
