The point is Sibir betrayed the alliance and joined Astrakhan. The fact that I was fighting a winter battle in the Steppes and if I recall correctly three other wars when I had the chance understandably deterred me from beginning a full scale invasion.

Thing’s pass quickly with our stability finally returning to it’s peak, the silence is broken when in 1563 on September seventh Algiers Dow Tunsia, Algiers is aided by Poland.

On the first of next year Spain Reforms. On the twenty fourth of January Tunsia is annexed by Algiers. On the twentieth Russia and allies Dow Astrakkan.

In 1565 the Pope in Rome, fool that he is, declares that the Papal States is to be Counter Reform Catholic from the first day of 1565 to the end of time. The Sultan ads to this declaration, or until the Ottoman Empire Conquers Italy, whichever comes first. In June Astrakkan gives 122D to Russia and cede Uralske to Russia.

On the last day of the year the great Sultan Süleyman
died and on the first his son was placed on the throne. All past appointments were confirmed and I presided over the first meeting of the new court which was held on the fourth of Febuary it went something along these lines.

I took my seat at the right side of the new Sultan Selim the second, the ministers came in and gave their reports. The empire was strong, rebellions had all but ended, and colonization was going well. The navy on the African Coast was based at Bourban ready for future battles with Cyrencia and Persia. Word reached us that Western Europe was once again broiled in War, Poland Declared War on the small nation of Pskov. This is nothing more than a bully acts by Poland to get some cheap land. Unfortunately the allies of each nation effectively sent most of the world into war. On Poland’s side was, Venice, Georgia, Prussia, Hanseatic League, and Brandenburg. For Pskov were Russia, Teutonic Order and Denmark.

It is now that I brought up the subject of Northern Expedition. The Mercantile minister was the first to denounce the plan. Citing that trade was running smoothly once again and that to war with Europe was to risk a trade embargo. I pointed out that we made more than enough on our own Centers of Trade and that closed trade with Europe would allow us to conquer trade in Alexandria and Thrace.

The Diplomatic minister spoke citing what always happens during one of these wars, we are sent declarations on all sides. I told him that it was exactly what I was counting on. A true target would be found and Persia would undoubtedly declare war on us, the real mission was not a Northern Expedition at all, rather it was the Indian expedition.

Selim himself opposed me saying that he would allow the expedition, but it would be the only expedition against Persia under his reign, this would be a war for annexation. I now must decide upon a suitable target, while making last minute preparations in Europe and Asia Minor.

I spend a year making these preparations that would eventually reach fruition when The Austrian Alliance was left alone. We DoW Austria and do not call upon our allies. On the ninth of that month the Tuetonic Order pays Brandenburg 225D for peace, the limit for the war has been set, the treasury is not to fall under 1,000D. I consider this plenty to work with, especially with all the trade that can be made once Persia is conquered. On the twenty second an unexpected twist comes when the Pope sets out to destroy the Muslim faith, starting with us. Allah is testing us to see how we handle the most influential Christian, and the most powerful Christian nation (France ally of the Pope).

In June Bohemia decide to attack us at the same time as Poland and her allies, needless to say, Bohemia is the last of our worries (More or less tied with Austria in last place ;) )

On the first of the next month the event we have waited for happened, Persia Declared on us, the armies are sent in immediately. On the seventh the Bohemian armies are beaten at Carpathia. On the twenty third we beat the Pope at Istria.

In August Russia joins in the fun and Dow us, I have no longer any need for fighting and designate Russia and Persia as the objects of expansion during this war session, I devote my power to ending the other wars quickly and efficiently. On the twenty second we capture Sochi from Georgia and demand 2,000 gold. Of which only two hundred arrive.

In November The armies burn the Persian trading post in Karabogaz. It wasn’t a smart move but it was a move meant to give the Persians false hope (OK I goofed).

In December our great armies ravage Tyrol looting the country and raping the Austrian women. I was asked in court why I wanted this to happen and told them that fear of The Ottomans would keep Christianity inline longer than force. Also the same day Tyrol was ravaged twenty Persians at a trading post were killed when we burned their base in Bouzatchi down. I few days later the land of Awhaz was taken from Persia. The day after Awhaz fell, a mere five days after The Plunder of Tyrol (The ninth of December is that day now putting the Plunder on the fourth) Austria gives us our White Peace so that we can focus on the Bohemian fools. Three days before the Infidels Christmas Emba is burned to the ground, destroying effectively the last Persian trading post in the Middle East.

The year of 1568 came in with another meeting. The Merchant trade was ever growing, and suddenly all opposition to Persian annexation was destroyed. The Mercantile minister stressed that our income would increase greatly with the incorporation of the African Trading Posts. My own mouth watered with the thought of Ottoman Colonies in African.

On the first of March Lut is taken from Persia it won’t be long now. On the ninth Hormounz is taken the armies are in a constant state of motion now going from one Persian province to the other. The next day a white peace is signed with Poland.

On the twenty thid of May Bohemia is beaten horribly at Moravia, the Bohemians foolishly thought they could remain unnoticed by my forces but swift siege was laid at Moravia to show that you cannot attack the Great Sultan and get away with it. Shortly after at the end of July, under threat that Moravia will end up like Tyrol Bohemia offers us a white peace, which we gladly accept. Also the island of Hahreia is burnt down with its trading post. On the eighth of August, in retaliation for Turkish troops being used in the taking of Lugank, we sign a White Peace with Russia leaving Crimea to fight on alone, I am tired of carrying them. A few days later Allah blesses us with the fall of Asfahan. He blesses us again on Christmas Eve with the fall of Kerman.

On the final day of Febuary Mekran is captured. On the fifth of March I ask the Sultan to send 250D to the Pope in order to establish peace so that we may concentrate solely on Persia. The wise Selim agrees and the Pope is paid off showing that the Catholic Church is really worshiping the Almighty Ducrat.

Two days later on the seventh Khorasan is captured leaving one mainland Persian province left between us and India. On the twentythird of that month Crimea proves itself to us by defeating Russia badly enough that the Russians surrendered Luganks to the Crimean Khan. This leaves the Russians in a war against Poland, and against Sweden and England.

On the fourteenth of April Prussia is annexed by the Teutonic Order, showing that the predictions of many wise men were wrong, and the Knights still had some power left in them. The next day I collapsed outside of my rooms, there are incredible pains in my chest I fear I am not long for this world. I will not die, not until my undertaking is done!

Troops are landed in Persian Africa on the twenty fifth. On the twenty ninth of July after the final fall of mainland Persia it is annexed into the great empire. I have informed the court that tomorrow is the last day for me in this world and Allah is calling me home, my son shall carry on my work here.

Accomplishments of Ereka the Turk: The bringing together of the Swedes and Englishmen into the Muslim alliance. The further expansion into Poland. The incursion into Persia. The unification of the realm. The annexation of Cyrencian, Sinai and Styria. The Annexation or Persia. The colonies at Mahe, Scrotia, Bourban, and _______. The establishing of a naval base in Bourban. The taking of Styria. The expansion into the African Coast.

Goals of his heir. Establishment of cities of the African trading posts. Colonization into India. If necessary war with the Indian countries.

August first 1569

With my fathers taking of his own life I am promoted to his old rank, however I have lost my control of trading posts, it was decided that they should fall under the jurisdiction of the mercantile advisor. I am Kemal Atafurk heir to my father Ereka the Turk. My career as Grand Vizier began with my demanding to know the state of the country.

Our tax income brings in 94.6D our goods production bringing in 41.3, Trade bringing in a measly 20.8D, and our Gold Mines bringing in 12.3, after research is paid off that leaves us with 25.6D a month ( I would really like to see 6/10 of a ducrat.) A good sum all things considered yearly we bring in a little over 400D. Inflation was of great concern to us at 25% and increasing by roughly .25 every year limiting our ability to build manufactories of any type.

Next I ordered the mercantile minister to report with a list of our situations in the various trading centers we devoted merchants to. In all of our own centers we have monopolies gaining, 101D in Isfahan, 22D in Thrace, and 26D in Alexandria. In Mascate we have four merchants sending back 16D, in Delhi we have 2 merchants sends back 39 Ducrats. In Genova we have one merchants sending three Ducrats. In Venice we have 5 merchants sending 16D. In Polish Danzig we have 3 merchants bringing in six ducrats. In Kurland we have four bringing in 2!! In Russia we have 2 that bring in 13. I tell the minister that we are to drop out of European centers of trade and focus on completely gaining sole trade power in our own CoT’s. He told me to mind my own business.

I than go over my fathers records he updated just before he took his life, colonization and peaceful expansions seems to be one of my fathers greatest goals. Trading posts are Mabovombe (LV 6), Douala (Lv1), Gambia (Lv1), and Tabbaret (Lv1. The last three gained from the Persian Empire.

Colonies include the naval bases in Bourbon (812) Reunion (870) Mahe (230) and the newly acquired Indus (91) and Kalat (261) Dumman (324) and Socotra (312).

So armed with this information I begin a military and colonial reform. On the last day of November peace is established in Europe somewhat with the Teutonic Order ceding of Ingermanland to Poland.

On the twenty fourth of December our advances in Delhi are not received well and they refuse our merchants trade there. In retaliation the stupid mercantile minister slapped them with an embargo. I told him that The Mughals didn’t have any merchants in our CoT’s anyway. He told me to mind my own business (I goofed again).

1570 went by with us sending our brave colonist to lands in Africa, all failed except in Douala. It ended on a grand note, the ever growing Khanate in Crimea recognizes the Sultan as his ruler (Vassalized Crimea).

Peace came to Europe the next year for a short time with the dwindling Poland ceding Krementjug to the Russians, it seems the Empire must find a new rival because Poland is simply no more fun.

In July all good thing’s must come to an end, for some God awful reason England Declared war on France(Spain, Pope, and Scotland) not a good tactical move due to the fact that Denmark is still invading their country.

In September Hedjaz and Cyrencia Dow us, meaning we can incorporate Cyrencian provinces into our Persian ones. On the first of October Morocco DoW us effectively endangering our Trading Posts, swift action must be taken. We also have a Diplomatic Move with Savoy I do not understand this but I really don’t care either.

On the eleventh Portugal (Denmark) DoW us, this allows us to take Portuguese colonies as well bringing our African power higher and higher without spending a dime on colonists. In November the alliance we inevitable always come to begin their fight when Georgia DoW us. This time the state will loose it’s independence forever!

At the beginning of 1573 we are given some much needed relief when Thuringen (Hannover and Saxony) DoW Spain and she is aided by her allies, minus Scotland who deemed that they could not carry on any more wars. On the fourteenth the Pope is beaten proving that Allah is great. Two days later the Hedjaz got theirs at Arabia. The next day our wise navy retreats from the much larger Venetian force, unlike my forefathers I respect Venice for being able to survive as a nation of merchants, that won’t keep me from making final pushes into Venice for their Mediterranean Isles if need be.

On the twenty sixth of February I decide the course I want to take, due to Crimea using Turkish forces (AGAIN) we sign a separate peace with Georgia returning to status quo. It is decided that we will not expand anymore into Europe and will use the chance given us to war with African and Indian nations. A mere two days later the Crimean Khan drains Georgia of their cash flow and take all 48 ducrats they had saved up away from them.
On April Thirteenth Denmark cedes Bristol to England giving the English only one more province to take before they unite their Isle once more (Not counting Scotland). On the third of May the Austrians finally join the fun, I rethink my poisition and decide I want to weaken the Austrians further. Austria is backed by Bavaria and Baden, Bohemia wisely choosing not to partake, a sizeable Turkish army on their border enforces their decision. The year ends with the capture of Presburg from Austria and the next target is Oldenburg, sieges are established in Modena with our forces defeating the rebels there.

The beginning of the next year Murad the third comes to the throne, he is not the ideal rules and I cannot convince him of anything, the only thing we agree on is the fact that our wars need to be stopped. The first of the next month the people show their support by investing 1,000 ducrats into Trade and infrastructure research.

In the final days of April Hessen cedes Cologne and Munster to Spain unfortunately this means that Spain can now focus on our destruction, before now we only ran into a few weak Spanish armies. However, much to our discomfort the Spanish navy is whipping our own like a little girl.

On May nineteenth my real goal is accomplished, Cyrencia with all her possesions are annexed into the glourious empire. I gleefully add the gains: Quatar, Dakar, Casamance, Guinea, Leone, Accra, Mayumba, and Namaqua. With these gains the nations income is sure to increase. This also gives our brave African army (Of less than a thousand) some resting places while they burns down French and Portuguese trading posts.

On the twentieth day of August Odenburg falls, it is offered to us a few days later for peace, but as that is our last legal province in Austria we sent a counter offer which they accepted us granting us five hundred ducrats. I’ve decided on leaving out more provincial gains unless full annexation can be achieved, we now fight for money to pay off the damage done by all the wars.

On the first of October the unwise Nubians declare war on us bringing in their ally Korea. Also this month we landed troops in Morocco. Later on in the month Sweden cedes Karelia and two hundred and fifty ducrats to Russia, they don’t fair to well during our wars I notice, it is my new policy however not to leave an ally alone again, at least in wars we start, England can get annexed by France for all I care.

In November we take Arabia after long siege and this move convinces Hedjaz of the wisdom of a White Peace with us. The year ends with the Netherlands DoWing Spain. The Netherlands being backed by Scotland, Spain backed by Poland Lithuania, and the Pope. The alliances we were fighting not so long ago seem to have fallen apart. On the twenty second of December Oman Declared war on us in an unexpected move as our armies had all moved into Persia to put down a 90K revolt!

The beginning of January I give my poisition to Minister Sivas (Excellent Minister Increased Monarch Values for 60 years, SWEET) on the seventh the dirty Mongols DoW us. We would have preferred to let Russia deal with them but if we must annex them, so be it. A few days later Quattar is burned down by the hated Omans, as if in alliance with the Oman forces, Spain set fire to Tassaret, this injustice will not be forgiven!

Ok maybe for the moment it will be forgotten. Our diplomats sign peace with the exhausted Spanish and Moroccan troops. On the last day of February two hundred and fifty ducrats are given to Oman to ensure the rest of our colonies in the area.

When some wars end new ones begin, example being Russia Declaring against us with their allies Denmark and the Teutonic Order, we have nothing but respect for the Order but we will put them in their place.

The war goes on and we lay siege to numerous Russian provinces focusing on Krementjug, in August our perseverance paid off and the province fell. The next day the humble Russians signed peace with us. We can now focus on our current enemies… Korea. Seven days later the target is annexed and we begin wanting to bring peace to the nation once again. Five days later I met with Sivas and he agreed that with the fall of Sudan our over all colonial goals can be reached much easier with Nubia being added to our realm. I myself am going to oversee the attack.

In September England pays two hundred ducrats for peace to Venice. I wonder why they stay in this alliance. A few days later while the siege of last Nubian province goes on Algiers seeks to take advantage of our weakness.

Later in October Nubia is annexed making us all the more powerful.

1576 would see us pay off Algiers with the standard amount of two fifty ducrats. Also with the fall of Astrakhan we gain five hundred ducrats thus putting us pretty much even with when we began the war, but with much more land.

Thanks, I try to know what I want out of a war when I start one, That's why I hate when my allies drag me into their conflicts. I prefer to fight on my own terms at my own time.

Unfortunatly coming up with Turkish names isn't very easy for me.

Sympathizing ... Ok, that's enough! :D

I was fortunate enough to locate a good Swedish history site (more than one, actually). I'm using real names in my AAR, and my character is timeless and nameless. Makes life easy.

Try coming up with unique and interesting race names in Stars!, the game that is. Now THAT'S tough!
:p :p :p

Now we can observe and build up our forces, our monthly income practically doubling after the war. With the income gained from the fighting our provinces in Hungary are enhanced with the promotion of Tax collectors. In August Modena declares it’s independence from France, and wars with their former over lord. I hope they succeed another French enemy is just what the Sultan needs. On the twenty fifth Sivas agrees with me that we only hurt our self with embargo against the Mughals. We make the mature decision and allow them trade in hope that they will lift their embargo. A few days later England pays France 10 ducrats I make note to suggest compensating them with a state gift of the finest Greek horses, worth one hundred ducrats.

The next year the only event of note is the movement of the fleet to their original port in Alexandria, they had been docked in Cyrencia after the last war. We also achieved level eight in naval technology.

1578 was more exciting than 77 luckily. It began on the fourth day of the New Year we became adjacent to England when they annexed Georgia! A bold move by England but not at all smart, they are more than likely going to loose the land to rebellion.

Around the end of February the island of Socotra Became the newest city in the Turkish Empire. Around the middle of May the German Alliance, as they are beginning to be called, of Thuringen, Saxony, Hannover and Brandenburg moves into action when Thuringen Declare War on The Palatinat, who had no allies. It is a sad event in my eyes but, war goes to the strong and those who are not strong simply… cease to be.

The year ended with the people of Egypt building a refinery for their Sultan in December.

The beginning of 1579 would see the Palatinat drain their treasury of one hundred and sixty four ducrats and the ceding of Main, to the victorious armies on Brandenburg. Nothing short of a miracle would save the German state.

In July a miracle did occur Hessen, nursing a grudge, brought the German Alliance into conflict with the Catholic League (Spain, Pope, Scotland, and France). Not wise since Spain has the most advanced army in the world (My really big problem, besides the unholy inflation rate, is Turkey’s lagging behind in Land and Naval tech despite all I do).

At the end of September the Sultan makes sad note of the annexation of Modena by France, the Sultan had sent a Personal gift of one hundred ducrats in the hope of allying with the Catholic Nation to stifle France in future conflicts.

On the thirteenth of November Christian superstition holds true and the Netherlands gives Picardie to Spain. Considering that it is more of a trading nation who’s European Land holdings are not that important to her, we at the Ottoman Court see this as a hard blow, but definitely not incapacitating.

So the New Year would come in bringing in a new decade and new hopes. One of said hopes is dashed when Crimea refuses to be annexed by our forces. Also the Palatinat paid seventy one ducrats to Saxony (May have been only ten my notes were a little harder to decipher than usual). The next day Thuringen settles for a White Peace effectively saving the Palatinat from total extinction.

The next month on the twenty third, It is thought that for European Nations the twenty third must be a special day to make peace, Hannover gives 96 ducrats to France.

In August Hannover pays what they’ve managed to store (twenty nine D) to Spain for peace. The year ends with high prospects the army is being stored up once more to put an end to both The Hedjaz and Oman. Once some colonies are permanent and an effective hammer move can be implemented Morocco and Algiers will be conquered. We get some minor news that Vastergotland was ceded to Poland by Sweden for peace, but we are sure our Swedish allies can get it back some day.

The year passed quickly with the build up of the Mediterranean Navy. The next year on the fifth of February the Nordic Alliance (Russia, Denmark, TO, and HL) were sent into action when Russia decided that Astrakhan could no longer live in independence. Sibir aided their ally in combat.

Just a month later Hessen paid two hundred and fifty ducrats to Spain, it seems to us at the court that the Germans bit off much more than they could chew.

Suspicions confirmed when in June Hessen is annexed by the French. In October Saxony paid 178 ducrats to France , making us wonder if anything short of civil war, or Spanish war could weaken the wine lovers. A few days later Astrakhan is annexed at last by the Russian Empire. December first would prove to be Swiss Independence Day as the declared independence from Spain and began a struggle for their new found freedom. Seven days later Sibir gives ten ducrats to Russia, the Russians apparently deciding that it was better than suffering winter attrition accepted.

The beginning of April would be when we gained new technology to fight on land with, they were not the “Boom Sticks” that the Spanish were wielding but with any luck we won’t need to find out how effective those sticks were until we had some of our own. Two months later Leon becomes the first African Colony to become a city. Just one year and nineteen days after they gained independence Helvetia is annexed again. If the opportunity arises again the Sultan has expressed his desire to aid the next nation to declare it’s independence apparently the Sultan is a soft touch for those weak nations.

The beginning of the next year saw us establish a colony in Guinea. Gladly however we brought Crimea into our Empire gaining much land.

Crimea Holdings

Provinces: Kafta, Kerch, Azov, Lugansk, and Kouban.
A fleet of seven warships and two transports, that would soon be added to the over all Med army.
And a grand total of 35,000 and ten troops (28K 7K and 10 cannon).

In July Kouban revolts against us, apparently the peasants did not like the fact that their power had been assimilated into another country. At the end of that month Portugal (Savoy) Commits suicide by Declaring war on Spain, who had been added into the Hapsburg alliance (Austria, Bohemia, Bavaria, Baden, and Wurtemburg)

In August the original Russian precaution is brought back, Sibir took Crimea’s place in the Grand Alliance. If nothing else it may serve as a treat for the Russians so that the Turkish armies can move in and clean up.

And it is at this point that I feel the need to bring you up to date upon the dealings in Europe. The most powerful, considering their land tech is the highest, is Spain. The Most powerful Alliance being the Hapsburg Alliance. The nation the is declining, of the major powers, is Sweden, our ally is not faring as well as we had hoped against Russia and Poland.

The next year Savoy gave two hundred and three ducrats to Spain for peace. Eleven days later Damman became a city. A few short months later England paid 52 ducrats to Poland, it is noticed the Sochi is constantly under siege by both rebels and foreign countries. Than for reasons known only known to the Mad English Monarch, England decided to go to war with Spain, Sweden joined their Christian friend, Sibir refused, we seriously considered leaving our own alliance as England was becoming a liability. In the end the Sultan was advised to join as the English may sometime show themselves useful.

From than straight through October we Sieges are began in Oldenburg (Austria really needs to get a larger army than 10K) Moravia is under siege soon, The beginning of November brought the usual tango partners in when Poland (Venice, Netherlands) DoW us. Through the beginning of the next year we beat Poland at Galacia twice, proving that Polacks suck and Turks rule. We also proved that Turkish might is greater than Spanish technology (We still want the Boom sticks though ;) ) We defeated them The Austrians and Bavaria various times during the time, more than once it was doubted that we could survive, but reinforcements arrived and oddly enough the decided not to test us anymore.

The new year came in with a cold bang, the Nordic alliance led by Russia decided to try and take advantage of Turkish armies, no luck. The main armies were still in Ukraine, and Podolia, but the Russians prove that they are the real enemies and the war goes both ways quite often, Turkish aggression being stifled due to Winter, the Russians had no such problems when they camped out side of Ukraine loosing many men to starvation, but them being Russian and all they replenished their armies. The War with Poland took a wrong turn when the army in Pripet was beaten by a Polish army that was four times their size, the only thing left was a small cavalry force.

Two days later Algiers, Morocco, and Oman band together to challenge Turkish power in the Middle East, and North Africa. It is decided that the end of conflict in North Africa will be more than enough payment for the war. Seven days later Moravia fell.

The beginning of February saw conflicting War aims, we desire to annex Venice as well or at least gain some more Mediterranean isles, we laid siege to Veneto Proper, and a special force landed in Cyprus. By April Portugal ceded Oporoto and Algarve to Spain, it is now more apparent than ever that Spain is the ruler of Iberia, but perhaps the Great Sultan can take care of that in the foreseeable future (Strictly in game speculation I have my share of Catholic nations suffering from Nationalism).

In May Sibir is brought into the alliance to late to do good against the real enemy.

In June Odenburg falls followed by Tunsia, this is the beginning of our rapid advance into Algiers. The fifth of July Indus becomes a colonial city. Four days later we white peace Spain. On the 22 cherningov falls, the next day Galacia falls, meaning Poland is willing to listen to our peace plans. The next month Kabylia was captured from Algiers and the brave armies took Al kharam from Oman, oddly enough the Navy could not beat the Omans.

December seventeenth saw France(Pope Scotland and Mysore) Dow us, the worst loss of the war being the great Mustapha’s death trying to traverse India only to be beaten by Mysore. The new year brings us the fall of The Algerian capital, and the gaining of Tunsia, and Al Kajar. A good thing too sense my invasion armies had just been completely wiped off the map. In July the Artisans become unhappy, and on the eight Genova falls a few days later peace is signed as the first large snow falls. We gain Genova and Luca.

Sorry bout the crapiness I was rushed, I will probably edit it to make it better.

Two in one

1590-1595: The peace of Bavaria.

Having gained the freedom to do as willed we began the great task of finding more allies. Since we left the Euro wars quite early we shall report only when countries cede territory via peace treaty, we would like to comment however on the fact that Venice had to pay out well over a thousand ducrats to the various countries she was at war with.

The only event of note besides our bringing up relations with all of our allies and the Mughals. Much time and money was spent expanding our colonies, many failed attempts to set up a colony on Thar failed, luckily we managed to get one going around the end of the year.

The next year The Mughals are both brought into the alliance and Vassalized after the Sultan sent a daughter to the Mughal court. This opened the trade in Delhi back up to us which we quickly expanded our trade in, it is also noted that Sibir was banned from trading in this area.

Bavaria begins to shine also in 91 when they add Emilia to their nation, meaning they are now the enemies of the Pope, a good position for them to be in. It is the hope of the court that the Pope declares a crusade against Bavaria so that we, as the leaders of the one true faith don’t have too.

1592 Austria gains Mantua from Venice, we establish a colony in Bombay, a small Calvary force is place there to ensure the natives play nice.

The beginning of 93 saw the edict of Tolerance signed. The Christian faith should make their mind up about which god they’re following. France was forced to give Bearn to Bohemia, which is odd in the Grand Sultan’s opinion but all well.

At the end of the year Sibir agreed to follow the Great Sultan in all his glory, we will add first The Mughals and than Sibir to the Holy Nation. Crimea however is proving to be much to large a problem and we spend much time trying to put down the many rebellions.

The next year France gave Wessex to Spain, we know deep in our heart that we will soon be led to war by the English. We have accepted this fate and seek only to strengthen our position. Later on at almost the exact same time colonists convert Al Kharam to the true faith and Crotia is also converted to the faith of Muhammad. Aden is brought into the Grand alliance, with a still low relation and their not knowing were almost none of our allies are we will use our diplomats to both exchange maps and bring relations up further.

1595 brought us the woes of an evil Sultan. Mehemed III rules the glorious nation left to him by his forefathers, diplomats per year go straight down to one. This isn’t going to be a happy time to be an Ottoman. Hessen declares independence from the French over lords, it looks as though this movement may work as Hessen is isolated.

The twenty-third of October is to be known as Black Tuesday, the day The Hapsburg alliance is dowed by England, Sweden and Sibir (that’s a shocker) join the fight but Aden and Mughals bow out since they most likely don’t even know were England is.

December seventh, a day that will live in infamy The anti Turkish Sunni alliance declare war on us. They seek to unite Islam in their faith. Do they not realize that it was the Great Sultan who reduced Persia and ended Shiite herectics? The group consists of Algiers. Morocco. The Hedjaz, and Oman. Oman will not live to see the second great Sunni war, Algiers may not either without their leader the evil alliance will most surely fall under the Turkish boot.

To Battle!

The second Italian War.

The focal point of this war was in Italy were progress was gained all around. As usual the war began because England went o war with Spain over Wessex. It has been along time since the Ottomans have declared war on their own accord, a long time indeed. As usual when the allies drag us into war we send our invincable troops.

Things go as expected, Venice DoW us bringing in the usual Poland and friends. Savoy for some reason DoW us bringing France in, the first thought was that we would take Modena from France but as it would turn out Genova's many revolts and The Pope Dowing us ended those plans.

The Nordic alliance as usual joined the war about a year and a half after it started. By this time we had taken two provinces from Poland and were marching on their capitol, needless to say they gave up a province rather quickly.

On another note the monarch was unable to do anything and spent most of his time with his Harem. Hessen Declared Independence from France which should gain it's independence as France can't get near it.

Oldenburg is gained from Austria, Poland cedes a land enabling us to move even further north, the Polish armies than focus on Russia, we meanwhile loose Volograd to Russia but assualt and gain in a the peace treat Krementjug. Our armies against Spain come up with the grand idea that we will take advantage of Spanish weakness and attack the rebelling Spanish provinces this works well enough to gain us a White peace. Shortly after that the Pope took Luca from us, since it rebels more often than not we decide rather than retake it we will focus on the Savoy French alliance.

But low the armies in India are doing well (Did I mention that Mysore and Hyberbad had Dowed me?) when The Mughals broke the vassalage they had and attacked me. The army leaves the siege that just began in Mysore (No other armies anywere near the Mughal Turkish border). They are completely destroyed by the 60K Mughal army. This of course means that the Indian minors can now attack my colonies and trading posts, not wanting to see all my work undone I cede Bombay to Hyberbad, Thar to the Mughals and pay two hundred and fifty ducrats each.

French armies were defeated continually in Savoy and they offer White peace to us which we gladly accept. Without France to defend their lands the nation of Savoy stands no chance and joins the Turkish Realm.

So in review We gain a strong foot hold in Italy, and slip up some in India. The Sultan decalres it a draw. I declare it a defeat (A personal one because I have never *EVER* in the whole time I've owned this game ceded a province and now I cede two) This shall be avenged in the most satisfieing way possible (*Hint India will become VERY light green in a few years*).

All done by 1600 a nice neat war. Now we begin the buildup against the Mughals and the build up against Italy. The plan of attack is as follows.

India, the main army of 35K attacks destroys the Mughal armies that attack us we then move in them and the minor armies to lay waste to the Mughals. If all goes well we will divert a leader due to arrive in 1606 to lead the battles.

Italy: Take Mantua off Austria's hands, Annex Naples.

This will lead to the fourth and hopefully final Italian War, Using Naples as the main launch point for invasion we will attack the Pope's southern position. When his armies have diverted we will move in Mantua and Genova's forces, across the river to close in Italy in one swift move.

In preparation for the planned 1606 invasion of India, and the declarations to follow to attack us we put down rebellions and begin adding troops to the Polish Russian border. We have a military year and Civil year, the Civil year being the construction of Naval yards, a large hit on the economy but one that isn't noticeable a year later.

The Third Italian War/ The first Great Indian War.

The diplomat comes as planned but it is decided that in the event that the Hedjaz and or Omen send us a declaration of War we want to be ready, as such, Aden is brought into the alliance, and later on we share maps with them, but I submit my grand plan to The Sultan. The Mughals have always been protective of their trade, so we increase all competition and recieve a Trade Embargo, a short term blow to the economy but one that can be rectified.

1606 it turns out was a good year for watching. Solely because we watched with pleasure as Russia fell apart. It appears they've made the mistake of overextending themselves and their government fell apart. We celebrate in the Empire. Astrakhan, Kazan, and Ryazan declare they follow the will of the true God. We would make plans to aid them with an alliance but with so few diplomats coming in, we shall have to wait and hope they can survive the initial conflicts.

Now in February of 1607 we begin the war on The Mughals, we first plan on letting our 3k calvary army take back Thar but thing's don't work out that way when we get pinned in and destroyed. The second stage is fudged up by the Mughals taking too dang long to attack Thar. Our attack fails so the forces MUST be replenished.

Shortly before the month ended the DoW from the Hapsburg alliance comes in. Austria only serves as a distraction, they're constant attacks keep the army of Styria from implementing the plan to take rebel held Mantua. The event continues for most of the year.

March: The Hedjaz DOW us bringing in Algiers, what may come in India and Italy, The Hedjaz Shall NOT live through this. The almost 50K army in Samaria marches on The Hedjaz provinces and by the end of the year only their capital would remian. Algiers looses many fights to us, they remain the person to beat if we want to gain a Supremecy in North Africa.

Venice also brings in Poland and The Netherlands, why is beyond me they must not have seen our navy waiting at Crete for the Declaration, now the real trick will be avoiding the navy of Venice long enough to get my troops to their (Many) Islands, we begin to think it best to start slow and than destroy them gradually, as we bring in much more than them so by all rights we should move ahead in the naval race, (Right? Right??).

The next month France leads the rest of Europe (Pope) and the rest of India (Mysore, Hyberbad) into a two pronged assault on us. Savoy is besieged by Bavaria and France, before long we give 500 ducrats to France just to free up some of the armies.

Milan becomes the target of the Savoy armies, the rebels in Savoy are allowed to go on controlling the province we have worse enemies to annex. Our plans our only hampered by a rather large revolt in Genova maybe we shall get lucky and see an enemy army A. put it down, or B. get beaten but destroy the rebels to the point that they suck.

The next year Mantua is captured Krakow is taken from Poland, Lorrainne declares independence from Austria. Poland Dow the TO meaning that Russia's getting a kick in the pants right now. And by twist of fate we conquer Venice by two assualts.

We however wake up from this dream and view the desktop, quite pissed off we reboot the game and observe that the last save point was the beginning of the year, meaning everything we captured still belongs to the owners, freakin great. Rather ticked off and tired (Deadly combination) I drain the Polish treasury and implement stage one of my plan against the Mughals, as it stand the Persian army is coming back to attack the Mughals in Thar, if they don't attack Indus first that is.

Part 2 to follow, It will tell if my brilliant idea to annex the Mughals will work or fail, I'm quite interested to know this myself, luckily they can't run rampant across Persia anymore as I've built forts in the three colonies. (Two points for Prior Planning!)

Part 2

The Conclusion.

1608

As I opened the game I checked out the situation in the area I wanted, India, it turned out I was at war with the French alliance still. Taking a chance I offered France a White Peace, they accepted! War Exhaustion is an issue for them I think, They've been at war with Hessen for a long time.

Shortly after that we get a Kablia from Algiers, as they were not the real target we let them off lightly. However the push into Algiers continues.

After haveing some dificulties getting reinforcements to Crete and Cyprus and watching the navy dwindle ever smaller (Down to 3 Warships and 8 transports yes only I can screw the Ottoman Navy this bad. Ships are ordered many warships many transports, a couple galleys. By the next war with Venice they'll get their but holes kicked! As it stands the army moves very carefully leaving only when the English have the Venice fleets tied up.

In March Oman DoW us and are joined by Algiers, Algiers?! WTH! Mascate is soon captured and the Oman treasury is drained completely (Maybe 150D) Oman is becomeing quite high on my crap list they will be annexed ASAP.

In June the bright idea works, somewhat, a little, well hey I landed troops on Kutch! Granted it was only about 5K of the original 20K I had boarded on the fleet but hey help is help.

Also this month The Turks capture Vienna, and than Mantua falls, I wanted to continue the war withSpain so bad as I wanted Milan, I also wanted to attack rebel controled Emilia, but it will be there when I return to Italy. Peace is granted The Hapsburgs (Yes both of them) were soundly beaten, We took care of Austria and England Beat Spain and took Wessex. Because I knew that Wessex was the reason England kept DoWing France, than Spain I decided to let them have it rather than abandon my allies, or cheat England out of Wessex. *Pats self on back for being good ally*

In September the true target of the earlier Algerian War is annexed, namely the Hedjaz, now we stand poised to take Aden... What they're in my alliance? Who's stupid Idea was that? What was I thinking! Oh well I'll just do it the hard way and Diplo Annex them :D.

In November we get a White Peace with The Netherlands, no use letting WE build for both of us, especially me;).

War goes well in India, Jaiper is assaulted and falls. The army that I had brought over From Oman is getting some new recruits from Kutch before going on the attack. The beginning of next year heralds the fall of Delhi we've done more than bloody their nose We've gone straight for the Jugular. Now that blood runs in India we have no intention of letting the river dry out (Violent today aren't I?).

In April Cyprus falls and we dictate peace by draining their treasury, and taking Cyprus off thier hands. I'm still having trouble believing I took Veneto Twice from them, This game I did it without reinforcements, quite interesting.

1611 The Mughals are annexed assault after assault did the job well. But funny thing.

The Russians have taken Kazan by this time, Before I can even click the Diplomat screen to annex Algiers and end all my wars for another round, Russia Dow me. Wanting to get to the part were I rebuild all my armies get some tech increases, and than annex Venice I pay them 500 ducrats for peace, but this isn't enough Astrakhan broke the royal marriage they had with us and DOW us. Having missed the first chance to annex the little pukes I took the one province Astrakhan in three months, would have been less but I didn't have an army ready.

NOW we are at peace, and are going to move in and increase the well being of conquered area's with our huge treasury *I saw for some reason we were at +2 so I went half and half to get stab back up. What I didn't notice was it going back up so I was running on full income to treasury for about three years.*

This is the fun part :D

I suspect that I will be working hard with my great amount of money to improve my provinces so that I can, you guessed it, get even more money. I liked the set up were I was civil one year and millitary the next so I'll probably keep that up. I will not start a war untill I upgrade both Land and naval tech, which I'm focusing on after Infrastructure, So It will probably be 1620 before we get another action packed BB... Errr, Action packed Italian war, I'm also waiting on Nationalism to go down, almost there in Crimea.

A short lived Peace:

1614:

England DOW Spain, we overlooked the fact that Spain controlled most of Ireland. Aden bows out, as do we. Later on we rejoin the alliance with England now standing firmly at the head. The build up of the army continues.

1615 (HEy I told you it would probably be dull)

The navy is counted at 15/1/11 A good improvemnt but let's see if we can do better.

1616

We will be getting infa 5 soon Next year it says I exit out of the screen oh so happy. What's this all these messages, let's see, Monopoly, monopoly, Colonization managed, Unhapiness among the Artisans, Monopol.... Wait a minute, unhappy Artist? Half my Infrastructure investment lost... NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! (I had to pause and stare at the screen for awhile).

1617:

If I had known that event was coming I would have gone to war with Spain but all well The fleet is gathered together to make a grand show for the new ruler Mustafa I. total fleet now (In the Med that is) 35/20/23 Now that's more like it! I found it interesting to note that I more thand doubled my navy size and it barely left a dent in my budget.

1618

OsmanI rose to the throne, well that was fast.

1619

Russia DoWed Sibir in January, Sweden dishonered the alliance and I thought long and hard about doing the same, but another Stab hit isn't something I wanted, So I figure I'll just do something productive Like Annex Aden or Oman, Or both! (No time like BB wars to be greedy). We join in defense of Sibir since they've proven to be faithful to any and all alliance movements since I showed them the world.

Oman with Algiers, and Aden Dow us, gee now I just need to decide which is least useful so I can annex the stragler, probably Aden, Oman has been a thorn in my side for much to long, and always seem to head up the Sunni Anti Turk alliance. It doesn't hurt that they have another CoT ;).

Austria DoW us, wait Austria? alone? This almost seems unfair. But the destruction of the Hapsburg alliance is a good thing, after all Two World Powers in the same alliance is too much. I'm sure most of Europe agree's that Two World Powers A middle Power (Sibir) And one that can improve is too much but what do they know.

They may as well be in alliance though since Spain Declared war just shortly after Austria, we now face Naples (A long forgotten face from the past) and Hessen, I'm sure the French enjoy this I know I will like seing a France Spain slobber knocker.

Hyberbad DoW us bringing France into play, perfect as if Spain trying to get at my Italian possessions wasn't bad enough we now have France, we slip a small army in through Provence and try to bring a swift conclussion to France's part ni the war.

The Polish alliance than Dow us, get this, Polish alliance: New Spain, China, and Venice, Now that's an alliance to be feared, I am partitioning Poland by myself and they go to New Spain and China for help. Coming next the WAR!

Poland DoW, Venice join (Game crashed guess the other two decided not to help Mother Poland).

Austria falls in June we get a white peace solely because we need to concentrate on the threat in the Italies, in other words Spain.

August Krakow falls, Donetsk falls, Russia offers Donetskfor peace. We decline for two reasons, 1. we want to completlely destroy Russia,2. We don't want to leave Sibir alone on this end as there is little England can do to help the little giant killer.

This same loyalty does not apply to the Swedes however (if they hadn't refused Sibir's call it may have been diferent) As the alliance leader against Poland I gladly settle with them taking Krakow for myself, rather than let the Swedes of Vastergotland back.

1620

Savoy and Genova are besieged by Spanish and French forces (Working together there's a switch)I sneak out a small army through Nice and besiege Provence to bring the French to the peace table. Savoy fell much faster than anticipated but much to my surprise (And delight) the Spanish forces seemed to disappear.

Provence fell to an assault and France is brought out of the war, this free's up Genova, although it's still in rebel control, I don't want loose Genova to anyone now since Revolt Risk has decreased to 0 meaning I now have one friendly spot in my Italian Empire.

Yemen falls to assault suffice to say that they've become my target mostly because I can't get my fleet out of port long enough to get troops onto them in other words, Zanzibar is out ftm.

In march The Netherlands DoW Spain, The heat is on the dirty Spaniards! As such they apparently work better under pressure because they attack and defeat my armies in Tripoli, all attempts to raise siege fail and it looks like they're gonna take it all through the remainder of the war, this effects the war with Algiers as I'd rather secure my country than expand atm.

in May Venice falls to probably the third assault, even before now they were begging for a white peace, but we make haste to take Apulia the only thing we dread is the 90K army in Naples (I didn't reaally want to have a two prong assault did I?) which is incredibly odd since Naples can only hold around 26K men.

in August we get an Indian province you can't pronounce from Hyberbad.
In November we pay two fifty to the Pope so that they stop sieging Genova. That done I moved in and assaulted it and took it from the rebels. And in a Massive blunder I pay 250 to Mysore. I was about to click ok on something and that had popped up in front of the peace screen and I doubled clicked. (Kicks self).

The next month Aden is annexed and we are at perfect stability again, now I can focus on the war with Spain and Russia.

1621

March Wave of Obscuritism, I didn't need that, suddenly I'm tired of fighting, that's alot of provinces to have a +3 revolt risk in :(.
So I bring the war with Oman to it's conclusion taking Dothar, Masirah, and 250D to make up for the trouble they've caused.

August: Portugal, with Algiers ahnd what's left of Oman DoW Spain, The heat has been turned up... Aww who'm I kiddin Portugal has Tago left in Europe, the only one I see putting up a fight is Algiers, but I say this only because I know they're tough as they seem to always thwart my attempts at annexing them.

September White peace with Venice, I can't take Apulia for the life of me not that I want it now since that's inviting Naples to use their army. Milan falls to assault and the armies move into Helvetia If i can't take Savoy back I'll take so many Spanish Provinces it will cease to matter. Also I take Eratsk and Donetsk in a peace treaty from Russia.

November Helvetia falls and we have a white peace with Spain.

And so ends another great war.

Notes:
1. The goals of this war were quite simple annex Aden or Oman and reduce them to one province. Defeat the Russian armies and save Sibir from Russia. Also to fight the Spanish and defeat them in the overall war. The last goal looked increasingly less likely as the war went on.

2. It may look as though I failed in my goal to save Sibir from Russia but I point out why I did better than I had ever dreamed. In gaining these two provinces I effectively cut Russia off from Sibir creating a wall. Granted Oldenburg is still next to Sibir but it is also controlled by Sibir so if they get it in a treaty than Sibir shall be safe, I also had to get out of these wars because revolts are popping up everywhere and I don't need Astrakhan Or Persia to pop back up in a Liberation movement. So I left the war confident that Sibir could at least get a White Peace with Russia.

3. It may also look as though I lost in my goal to fight the Spanish to a stand still. No, eventhough my armies lost almost every battle superior planning and taking advantage of their troop situation in Milan and Helvetia, in this case the lack thereof, won me the day. The reason why I went for all out war with spain was because they made the mistake of taking one of my provinces, something I take personally.

I already have plans for how I'm going to get to Zanzibar after all the Oman navy can't be in two places at once so I think two navies will head out this time.

4. Interesting note I just saw in EUSpy, Sibir is richer than Spain and one of the top five richest nations at 500D, that's a star competeing with the full moon when compared to mine but still pretty good :)

Alright for those who have played Turkey, or know the events I just want to point out that my getting out of that war when I did was complete luck on my part. That one Wave managed to save me from a crap load of trouble.

So the year 1622 begins with a new ruler, I'm thinking great same crappy statistics as the last ones. Than I notice, It, Trait: Civil War, My thoughts, oh crap. This cannot descibe it in the least.

The next six months brought six Waves of Obscurism, On a good province revolt risk was 17. I'll sum this up, I wasn't pretty, Thrace fell twice to rebels, Genova declared independence, and were promptly reannexed. The Mughals declared independence and were bought off with gold. The rebels at one point controlled most of the colonies I gained from Persia, most my Indian possesions, Most of what I gained from Crimea and Russia. Mantua, Cyprus, Present day Turkey and a few Polish gained provinces. It is a wonder that the goverment didn't collapse, I fought hard to keep that from hapening, because after seeing what hapened to Russia I didn't want to see, Hungary, Persia, and the Mamelukes alive.

But after the effects of the events died down it took another six months but I managed to start putting down rebellions in full, not before Genova and Mughals gained independence but take what you can get. Even worse England chose this time frame to go to war with Spain. I had to decline the call but I got back in the English good graces. I also have to start making friends with Hessen, who joined the alliance.

The worst event that came out of this is that I have +3 nationalism again in Genova, considering it just recently wore off, this is not a happy time for the Turkish Sultan.

Now five years later in the year of our Sultan 1627, most of the revolts have been put down, Thrace is still in enemy hands, a few provinces in Asia Minor are still rebel controlled. Cyprus is rebel held I don't know what I can do about that at the moment, Mantua is rebel held, they number in the upper 40K so I'm letting them move on to Venice/ Austria before I let my troops move in.

The only good things to come of this is probably Milan gaining independence, This time they have a good chance of keeping thier independence, if they can take Helvetia (Rebel controlled) that is. The Mughals have one of my sizeable armies on their border so I doubt thier independence is goin to be long lived.

In International news Spain still wars with Portugal, and England. Poland and Russia went to war again, Poland goes to war on the Teutonic Order every chance they get so the two alliances war quite often, though no decisive victory has ever been achieved (I.E. No land given).

Incidently are there any more Civil Wars planned?

1623-1632

What can I say the hunt for level 5 goes on. Despite a few mishaps every now and than everything has calmed down with the rebels. They still control Rhodes and Cyprus, but the army in Rhodes Siege continues. Mantua rebels went to Venice, who are in a war with Poland against the Northern alliance. Venice reminds me of a faithful dog and Poland reminds me of an old man.

Any way Mantua was taken again, rebelled again, rebels went to Venice again. Rebels beat a Russian invasion force (Don't ask me how the Russian fleet can get past Venice but I can't). Troops are conscripted to retake Mantua.

I begin building up my forces gained from Crimea, Russia, Astrakhan, Hungary, and Poland.

I also ready for war with Poland, and India.

International.

The (Probably) Third Great Northern War.

It goes both ways quite often, I looked during the first year or so of this session and Russia had taken two Polish provinces and were besieging another. The Poles were attempting to retake one province however.

A few year later it was back to square one.

about 1628 Poland had to cede Western Prussia to the Hanseanic League. This puts Polish, Posen in an iteresting position, between my and the League.

At the end of the session it looked as though it had gone back to Russia with the upper hand controlling three Polish provinces.

War for Milanese Independence:

Milan fought their war well, Spain couldn't get any troops to the front so it was basicly a matter of when the Spanish provinces would fall.

And they did get independence, Bringing Helvetia with them. That is into thier realm. a 30K garrison is in place to ensure Helvetia remains nice and peaceful.
