Of course it makes sense. Ottomans are the true Roman Empire after all and BYZ is but a mere pretender. Was it confirmed orally? Maybe you have taken a strong claim for a core.
It would make absolutely no sense.

Byzantium got nerfed to the ground. Ottomans now have cores on all of their lands.
please correct me if i'm wrong, there are a ton of things in the streaming but these are the most important i can recall, anyways all these things will be on the patchnotes since some of them were taken directly from the 18 pages patchnotes (another fact xD)
- They added the "continue" button right at the start of the game
- RNW tiles at the moment are 80ish, they are aiming to 100 with future patches
- RNW Fantasy Nations have completely randomized idea sets
- RNW will not be able to have an equivalent of panama canal
- Increasing relations with a foreign nation now also increases your nation opinion of them up to +50 (if i understood correctly)
- Custom Nations up to 75 from 32
- They used threatening war against Aq koyunlu (as Ottomans) and they accepted it for 9 AE on day 1 (Erzurum, core province)
- You can change your native policy several times during the game with the new feature
- Millets being replaced by Dhimmis as Ottoman factions
- All provinces have gotten one more building slot
- The "provinces of interest" feature is pretty cool
- They explained a bit how favor works and what you can do with it, i.e. increase trust or spend it to make your allies join at war (asking them a favor in fact), instead of promising them provinces (a choice you've if you don't want to spend favor). You gain it slowly while you're allied to that nation and ofc joining its wars.
- Hansa exploded
@QDI he's joking è.è

If you watched the stream you would've known that it is not just "Hurr durr, I am far stronger than you, gib clay". Candar did not accept the threat at day 1 due to having only two provinces and thus the threat meaning they would've lost about half of their development. What prevent France to threaten war to every little country at start? for example taking this from Savoy and Brittany.
Yes, but Aq accepted having only three provinces, a little don't want to the only other province, but seems who have three provinces can accept, I'm sure we will discover how this things work and they thought about that, I'm only asking.
They said that not in 1.14, but they do plan to add more flags.I know it wasn't in the stream, but does anybody know if any of the changes to the nation designer made it to the patch? Like proper color selection etc.
Yes, there are changes dones to the Nation Designer. I believe there was a dev diary about them.I know it wasn't in the stream, but does anybody know if any of the changes to the nation designer made it to the patch? Like proper color selection etc.

It is not. And it should never really have been to be honest. How did the Hansa explode? Do you mean it's no longer a single tag?
Odin be praised, yes indeed this is good news.It is not. And it should never really have been to be honest.
