Can I set my convoies from and to any port that controled by my allies or myself? If I am playing with USA and Australia is my ally, why can't I set the convoy from Darwin to Guam?

I dont know if that has changed in AoD. Anyway, Australia may be your ally, but its not your country to order them around. It would be nice the have an option to ask them for supply though. Can I set my convoies from and to any port that controled by my allies or myself? I think we can add some auto trades like HOI3.I dont know if that has changed in AoD. Anyway, Australia may be your ally, but its not your country to order them around. It would be nice the have an option to ask them for supply though.
Yeah, shorter supply lines means less exposed supply lines.I find it pretty stupid (at least in HOI2) that if my USA (or any other nation) takes for instance Spain, Casablanca and Suez I have to send THREE separate convoys over the atlantic instead of sending one to a "supply hub" like spain from where smaller convoys could reach smaller fronts.
A valid point indeed, not only shorter supply lines but in some cases supply lines that can come from a less contested direction
You should read the development diaries on trade and convoys
Although not perfect, AoD will bring serious improvement there too if I recall correctly![]()
this would definitely be a good improvement- for example playing historically as the US in the Pacific (supplies through pearl harbour). however, I've looked at the dev diaries and can't find the relevant quotes- any links? Thanks!
Maybe it's enough, if we could define some hubs, where the resources of a region have to be gathered? Then the ai would only have to find the shortest routes to and from your hubs.
