I have never played Carthage. Doesn't appeal to me seeing the contrast between real carthage and IR carthege. Carthege plays just like any other country. It plays like Rome. Until they flesh out a new trade syste where playing like real life carthage actually makes sense, is benefitial and fun, I will restrain from playing them. But Im very looking forward to playing as them when a trade update comes along.

It's always a choice between Rome and Egypt, but with all those missions and flavor - I think I'll play as someone new as well. Maybe Seleukids, maybe Carthage and maybe some northern barbarians.

Probably going to go in the following order.

1. Rome - For the ease of playing with new mechanics without too much pressure from neighbors.
2. Antigonids - Easily the most interesting Diadochi mission tree in my opinion. Super excited for that.
3. Athens - Given how Athenian freedom was taken from them a second time shortly after the death of Alexander, it'll be fun to watch the Diadochi implode and take advantage of the situation.

Pontus. I want to see how much the new events and mechanics change the setup of Pontus and whether it's actually viable without using any mods.

-For new missions & Diadochi dynamics.
-Take Judea early, move capital, convert to Judaism (4 diefied rulers = +60% conversion rate & x4 apotheosis effect bonus from invoking omen), move capital back to Alexandria. As we're converting whole country to Hellenism anyway, we may as well go to Judaism.

Edit: Forgot 20% of population rule from 1.5.
Perhaps Parnia, migrate to Judea, convert to Judaism, then head back to the Dahae to form Parthia.

I have been thinking of doing something similar with Cappadocia and declare independence just before the war starts and then exploit the chaos.
