The colonial town that burns -- and burns, and burns, and burns...

I stumbled upon what I believe must be a bug. I colonized the island of Mahe in the 1700s, and when the colony finally become a town, the town icon was burning. And it kept on burning and burning, even though I don't remember ever seeing the town rebel. And no enemy soldiers were ever present in the town (I did have a small force of my own stationed there, though). Has anybody else seen this?

I have a savegame (in fact two, I believe) if someone is interested.

That never happened to me but once I tried to colonise one of the provinces in Hawaii and my ship mystereously disapeared in the middle of it's journey.

I hope the fact that your in 1700 means you are close to making a new report on the fortunes of the Ottomans. Its been a few days now I need a fix.

Some German players also told me about the disappearance of ships. I have put it on the bugs list a while ago. I hope, Johan will not dismiss this because I presented it together with the other problem of disappearing AI armies, which is obviously due to silly disbandement decisions.
The 'everburning colony' is a new bug, though. Is it reproducable with that Island, Kekkonen?

I don't know if it's reproducible, but apparently it corrects itself. It just kept burning throughout the game session where I initially colonized it, but when I took a break from the game, everything was OK when I reloaded it. I haven't tried the other savegame though.

Actaully I saw that in the introduction scenario.
I got the game a few days ago, installed the 1.05b patch (Swedish) and it was appearing when I colonized 'Lainchester' (or something). It kept on burning for a few years and then it stopped as mysteriously as it started. I thought I made somehting wrong so I was clicking as crazy on everything I could think of.... Puh.. Means that I am not insane after all.... Guess I can stop my medication ;-))

Note: You are Irland in the introduction scenario.

Had the same with Isle Royale off the american coast. The colony was burning for 20 years.

Well, I wish I could talk to my doctor...

There was a lot of guy's in white clothing picking him up last night....

He had not been sleeping for three days and was heard screaming.... - Kill the rebels !! Kill the rebels !!

I guess it's not so good to take out war taxes after all. Let this be a warning to us all ;-)
