How technology cost is calculated? it is getting very high, is there any way to reduce?
It costs a certain amount per pop in your country. If you want to reduce it, figure out how to reduce your population temporarily.
Really liking the update so far, I've got a game as Athens I'm really enjoying. I have a few gripes, but I believe some will be addressed with the next patch. One thing I still don't understand is why we can no longer demand money at the end of wars. I appreciate if I am fully annexing someone, there wouldn't a government etcetera that I could demand it from. However if I'm not as they're too large etcetera, why can't I demand money or even war reparations?
As Rockphed said then your tech investments actually aren't the tech points you produce. Rather it's the tech efficiency. With 100% efficiency you'll get a tech level in 20 years assuming there's no ahead of time. Good researchers can speed things up,. Can't remember if bad ones can slow it down.
So at the end of the day your research speed is determined by how much research points you generate compared to your amount of pops. Pumping your capital territory with libraries can help give a better efficiency.
So much this. It's really frustrating having to comb through all newly conquerored territories to delete all those tribal settlements and federation buildings. And you need to do it immediately when having a large empire, as otherwise you'll never have a chance of ever finding them.
E..g having the ledger show all your territories and what's built in them could be useful, albeit that might be a way too large list when having a large empire.
a suggestion:
a way to make up for not demanding money during peace could be done as a sort off thing where, the longer the war goes on you automatically get war reparations, for example, 5 gold every month, so if the war last a year- 5 x 12 = 60 gold. even if its 6, 7 or 8 per month, i think that would be fair instead off asking for say 400 gold in peace negations.
good patch but, much more enjoyable during peace.

Finnaly the game ia playable. After cicero have spend a lot of time on it and can say the game is really good right now. The resources are well made. Pops are little bit too much micro. And also miss my sweet baltic region but still great job. Can't wait for it to bicome bigger.
I don't know if this is a right thread to write this, but I think mercs are still unbalanced. Every small country has somehow a lot of money and every war is me fighting dozen of mercenary armies hired by the AI who runs out of manpower. I think they should be a lot more costly and manpower should have greater meaning in the game. With exception to this I'm enjoying my campaign so far.

I believe you need to manually register the game with a code found on the xbox account page, but I do not know for sure.
As one that was quite disappointed at launch, it appears to be time to jump back in with both feet. Looking forward to spending many hours with it.
Spent some time playing the update last night as Bactria and had a total blast. Great job devs.
