lol 28k serbian manpower in 1444
More provinces, more development, double manpower from base manpower (0.50 instead of 0.25 in definies).

As well done as this is, I'm really, REALLY mad that Albania is not its proper deep red.
If states got their actual colours (as in, the most prominent colour on their coat of arms or standard in the period), 90% of the Balkans would be deep red - Ottomans would be, Albanians would be, Serbians would be, Epirus would be, Byzantium would be, Hungary would be, Athens would be... it would make for a fun map, and by fun I mean rage-inducing.![]()
I'm all in favor except adding new cultures that will never get accepted and would only mean another possible rebel group or -dip points for converting them.
And no Venetian Durrazo, but I'll take what I can get.
Epirus and Athens would be?
When bae thinks you're on vacation in Athens but you're actually in the middle of DamascusIf states got their actual colours (as in, the most prominent colour on their coat of arms or standard in the period), 90% of the Balkans would be deep red - Ottomans would be, Albanians would be, Serbians would be, Epirus would be, Byzantium would be, Hungary would be, Athens would be... it would make for a fun map, and by fun I mean rage-inducing.![]()
Sry i dont mean to single you out, but this is one of the most ridiculous arguments that keep popping up in similar threads.
I basically never, ever mass convert anyone. Specially in same culture group. For Johan's (bbhn) sake youll basically only ever get separatist rebels in 2 situations: 1.) when you first conquer provinces (and obtain unavoidable separatism) and 2.) if you run your country so poorly, that you basically deserve to lose.
I mean even if we are talking about different culture group AND unaccepted, there are plenty of ways of managing that, and there are also far more beneficial things to spend you DIP points on.
And if you cant manage a province of different culture group thats unaccepted and of different religion, then basically go conquer something else that has fewer stacked penalties, until you reach a landforce limit of 20+ after which point it doesnt matter what you conquer or how often it rebels. If(once) you have correct ideas, rebels are basically a non factor.
I think its good as it is. Albania during this time as it takes place in the game circuits around Scanderbeg, and during his lifetime he managed to keep Albania independent. No point in starting dividing a tiny country like Albania.
Albania during that time didnt exists. There were some feudal lords from modern northern Albania that Skanderbeg united in league of Lesche. But they didnt represent Albania or anything like that. There were Albanian, but also Serbian lords in that League.
Best you can use as Albania(but not really Albania) is the most northern province from that mod map...
I think I found Skanderberg's reincarnation...What makes the albanian leader so great is that i managed to keep Albania independent with minimal
resources.
Enver Hoxha? He always WAS my favorite world leader.I think I found Skanderberg's reincarnation...
I never missmanage a country nor do i get rebels, i know the mechanics in and out. What i am mostly referring to is your ability to get a culture accepted. Frankly adding cultures for the sake of adding cultures is pointless. In MP games people don't take humanism ideas, the dynamics are different and also not to mention that those provinces are so poor that having a culture you will never have accepted makes them almost worthless.
Epirus and Cypriot culture? Makes no sense whatsoever.
Albania as a state didn't exist until Scanderbeg unified the albanian clans, that was represented through league of lezhe. And of course, they did represent Albania, they liberated albanian territory and fought for a independent Albania. It was a weak state based on clans, though still a politcal unity represented as Albania with Scanderbeg as their leader.
Also, the serbian lords barley played a roll in Scanderbegs campaigns. The only somewhat significant help he got was overseas in Italy. The serbs didn't play any vital roll at all neither in support of money or troops, in fact he even fought the serbs. What makes the albanian leader so great is that he managed to keep Albania independent with minimal
resources.

Please, it's like you dont even know that the Serbs were the ancestors of the Romans and were the first Europeans. Also, the Virgin Mary was a Serb and Jesus spent his time among Serbs before preaching in Judea. Check your Turkish privileges at the doorJust imagine if you told Serbs that Dushan's mother was Bulgarian.
Which would make him half Bulgarian who spoke Greek for most of his life as primary language and Bulgarian with his mother while in exile from Serbia for his entire childhood XD
