So i no that there are plenty of people out there who are fans of the Eastern Roman Empire and plenty more who was dissatisfied with LoR who have taken up to expressing there desire for a mod that will give them exactly what thay think playing as the empire should be . So what my aim is for this thread to be a place where people who are creating mods can share ideas or ask for help from fellow fans of the empire or people to express what thay would really like to see implemented in a mod.Theres always plenty of talk but never enough finished so by sharing ideas we can get these mods finished and out there . The majority of people want the same things with little differences here or there so why not use this thread to keep in touch with your fellow Byzantine modders and fans alike feel free to post up links to the mods you make and give everyone a chance to enjoy each individual mod and ofcourse give credit to all who help. Thanks for your time and i look forward to have discussions with you all

I personnaly hate the current Empire mechanics (not just Byzantine, all of them), they prectacly are just kingdoms XL...
They should be given things to allow them to reconquer the Roman empires for ecsample, or something else that really makes it worth creating such a title.

I don't even know if it's possible, but I want to see a Roman culture.
I would also like to see decisions that give the ability to raise legions.
It would basically be like the varingian guard decision, but you would need to lead Rome, and own a certain duchy.

They would show up in the merc pool, like the varingians, and may have a set of events that AI characters could utilize, like the 'son joins the varingians' event.

Ideally they would be raised in a certain, non-capital region.

So, I make the decision to reform Legio VI. I would need to be emperor of Rome and control the region that they historically had the most impact on, Judaea, in this case.
When I would raise the unit, it would show up there, in Jerusalem.
I want generals to be dangerous. The better he does, the more popular he gets.
I want to decimate a demoralized legion to give half morale back.
they would be raised as 5000 man units, and provide a regional backbone to the empire, essentially making strong points.

but maybe that's too much to ask...

I like the idea of generals to be dangerous. The better he does, the more popular he gets. That would work well in the ERE as many a genral worked his way up with help of the army to become emperor i also think one of the maine ways of getting the throne should be through plots as back stabbing was the most common and i think for a game could be the most fun as thats the real test as emperor keeping the throne safe from within.

On another note i think a good plot would be if the Basileus dies leaving his wife and children the wife would try to align herself for the sake of herself and her children to the most powerful and influential family head making him her new husband and co emperor on the promise of giving up power when her child is old enough of course this didn't always happen as once you have power why would you want to give it up especially if they then had a child together so if you happen to be Basileus in waiting these times are very dangerous so I think plenty of events and plots would then tie in with this as well possible turmoil/civil wars in the empire ? Is this atall possible and if so how ??
