The Byzantine Empire

I was just watching the coat of arms you have used for the Byzantine Empire, and I noticed it is the Palailogos coat of arms, used from 1261 AD to 1453 AD. My suggestion is to use this emblem instead: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._(395).svg/120px-Byzantine_flag_(395).svg.png (or this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped....svg/120px-Flag_of_PalaeologusEmperor.svg.png).

P.S. For the Ecumenical Patriarchate it should be this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...arcato_di_Costantinopoli_dal_1261_al_1453.JPG (but I think it is already in the mod if I rememeber well)

According to what i know the Labarum or the Chi-Ro disappeared completely from record during the 6th century. So the red/white version of that, which you link to would be a mistake imo.

And you do realize that the other flag that you link to is just a slightly different version of the Palaiologan flag that we are already using. It's a combination of the Palaiologan's own family flag and the Flag of Genoa. The Saint George's cross was the emblem of Genoa, and the first recorded use of the flag is from a manuscript from 1350.

The only real alternative to the Palaiologan flag that we are using currently would be a two-headed eagle imo. And i don't really consider that a good idea.

Well, I checked the Ecumenical Flag, and it is different from this one: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...arcato_di_Costantinopoli_dal_1261_al_1453.JPG. I think this shuld be the Ecumenical Patriarchate flag
