Hi guys, I'm from Australia, and when I heard that all countries that aren't the major six or seven get a generic tech tree, I wanted to ask if the British tech tree could be used for Australia, as we relied heavily on British Aircraft, tanks etc. during world war 2. The same would probably be true for New Zealand and Canada, who have the same ties to Britain as Australia do, and also probably mostly used British tech.

So can the British Tech tree please be used for these countries as it historically was? Or is the game in a stage too late to do something like this?

I do agree Commonwealth countries (or Dominions) should have at least a common focus tree. But that will wait for a DLC.

As there is much interest on the forum for national focus trees for some significant minors (and many suggestions), I do hope it's something they will consider sooner or later.

I think they should also share doctrine and division design changes, technology and research advances.
And, to be accurate, a single command structure.
Possibly as options, as gameplay might get a bit tricky when playing one of the former colonies if a lot of the decisions are being taken by the AI.
On the other hand if playing as the U.K. (or, optionally, as an "Empire" player) then having much closer integration would be historically accurate.
In many ways the U.K. and former colonies were more tightly integrated and cooperative than some organisations within other countries.
For example the Japanese Navy and Army, who went so far as to shoot at each other sometimes.

Australia got material from the US and UK, Australia barely produced anything in world war 2 that i know off, other than a tiny amount of Sentinel tanks.

You can still be nearly 100% equipped with UK and US production through the game features. :)

Rough production figures for Australia during WW2.

Small Arms (rifles/smg's/MG's) - 510,000
AT Guns - 2,600
Artillery (25 pdr) - 2,100
AA Guns - 800
Mortars - 5,300
Bren Carriers - 5,000
Sentinel Tank - 65
Armoured Cars - 500

Aircraft - 3,700 (of which about 1,600 were frontline a/c)

Considering the Australian military had just under 1,000,000 personnel serve during the second world war these production figures are pretty small, when considering that Australia's economy was heavily focused on agricultural production at the time and had very little heavy industry it is understandable.
