Well, two reasons to make this AAR the Weekly Showcase.

1: It's HGI's first completion and

2: It's not only different, it's very good.

Enjoy.

Congrats, read it today and was impressed. Good writing and an interesting story + refreshing idea. Sorry for not following this earlier but right now there are so many good AAR so it is impossible to read them all at the same time.:)

Wow, thank you LD, I'm honored! I feel very humble now...thanks Judge and John...er, Phalanx for the commentary; commentary is the gasoline I drive my AARs on.

Judge- You're right! We have an incredible number of high-quality AARs; I'd have to abandon real life to read them all (I wish I could). There are some really great ones being written which are constantly distracting me from my own and the ones I don't get around to reading...

The main intent of this post is to say--

Yes, I am going to start a new AAR. It will be in history book format, but nowhere near as detailed as this--it'll be a regular GC tale (okay, it won't be regular. Why not? Hint: playing as Estramadura ;)). To give this AAR time to showcase itself and age to a nice vintage, my new story won't begin to be told until September 5-10. (This also allows me time to write it; hopefully I can write all the way up to 1500!) Hope to see y'all there...

all in all a very fine tale, and one that was rich in detail...sometimes I think too much detail, but still a great story. Took me awhile to finally get caught all up in it...man, that is a lot to say about one battle...gotta love it though...:)

*bump*

Thank you, Amric! See, that's why I need reader comments, because some parts were in my opinion not detailed enough...

:D

There was a lot to say about it because it was 36 days long and in 4 days I went from total defeat to total victory. It was the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me in a EUII game.

My next feature is going to be postponed for another month because I've only written up to 1438 and wanted a real big head start...

*awed to see all these big-name AARers posting in his own thread*
