There are many Ethiopian sources for conflicts between the emperor and the Kingdom of Semien during the Middle Ages. The presumed Jewish rulers in Ethiopa sren't in the game because they weren't Jews (they are only referred to as Jews from the 20th century onwards) and even uf they were there realm isn't even on the map ( to small, to insignificant).
Bogomils cover more then one province, you just look in 1066, but later in the game files it spreads to more provinces and there are even bogomil rulers.
The second one isn't quite true. Sometimes they follow company policy fairly fairly quickly. E.g. when it's most of the forums opinion that buying gamersgate versions of eu3 is better due to steam having delayed releases... it ends up being 90% of the forum being pro gamersgate and all the mods+10% of other users being for steam/saying they're both good. Usually though they're fair and reasonable balanced in their views. Depends on the topic. One thing that can be said though is they tend to have all been around a very long time so they will have views/posts that are more similar to high postcount users than low postcount users most likely. Are forum moderators representative of Paradox Development Studio's views? Or volunteers just doing their best to find answers?
I just think it'd be a lot of work to add jews properly, and paradox is just going for the most relevent and least work things first (like every game developer would). I don't think it's a hidden agenda.Leaving them out seems the politically incorrect option, to me. Of course I don't want a pogrom button, but there should be some conflict / consideration with the Jews IMHO
"Paradox insists" on no such thing. I wish this meme would die an early quick death. There ARE mentions of Judaism in, eg, EU2 and EU3. The lack of it as a state religion in any particular game is due to historical reality and game design decisions, not any institutional bias or so-called political correctness.

I do have to wonder how West African paganism or Zoroastrianism made the cut while Judaism didn't. I'm the King of Norway with an Indian eunuch at my court but having Jewish characters is implausible? I get that they don't have a state or a province, but why not characters?

No, moderators are not official representatives of PDS, but we do have a good knowledge about what they think and feel.
People assume that Jews (religion/culture) aren't in the game for political or racial reasons, which simply isn't true, yet somehow several forumites presume this is the case and then start stating that as a fact. While that facts that are presented (quotes from he developers) are not believed or simply ignored.
West-African pagans are in the game because there are rulers and provinces with that religion. Zoroastrian is the the game because there are provinces who have that as their religion. So far none has come up with a source for a Jewish ruler or proof that some provinces had a majority of Jews in them.
Edit
And if you wonder why the Aztecs are in, just read the reasoning, orovided by PDS, for that dlc.

Then please, again, say me, why the Kingdom of Semien hadn't Jwes as rulers... I want to know it for my mod, and if you say, they aren't Jewish (historical atlas say other things, if wikipedia are right)... But it seems like, you don't want to answer my question about this topic
I don't want Jews in vanilla, I can accept, they aren't there. This is my statement on this topic. I think this is bad, but I can accept, if they wouldn't add them.
The kingdom of Semien isn't in the game (to small to insignificant)
The kingdom of Semien isn't in the game (to small to insignificant) and even if it was nobody knows for sure if they were Jewish or any name of its rulers during the ck2 period.
And even if we assume that they are Jewish, then it would still be just one province. And there are several other minor cuktures/religions not represented. Like f.e the Guanche in the Canary Islands or Albanians (while there are Albanians in the game and rhere also was a kingdom of Albania).
So it would not be historically wrong for him to have them in his mod, he just have to do some leaps when it comes to the rulers of the Kingdom. And seeing as he is reworking the map completely, i'm certain that he is going to include enough Eastern African provinces for the Kingdom to have some relevance in the region. He is not arguing about Vanilla, Veld, he is asking a question that has relevance for his mod-project.
What. Are you sure you're not talking about EU3?, because CK2 is littered with small and insignificant nations. That's one of the major selling points of the game.
Why would he need my approval for making Jewish rulers in his own mod ? Or am I missing something here. If he wants to put them in his mod, he can do that. It is not forbidden to add Jews to the game.
I only ask, because you say "they weren't Jews". And I want to make my mod so historical correct/accurate like possible. And so I was interessed in this part![]()
Some people will say that they are Jewish, so you can take your pick.
So the point is... Noone know it exactly? This give me a great freedom. Alright.
