Hello folks.

I (very) recently bought IC, Arma and AoD. I prefer AoD over Arma because of some of the gameplay changes, but at the same time, it looks like Irshappa is working on patches mostly for the Arma-IC version.

Can anybody clear this up for me? Will people using the AoD-IC version receive fewer bug fixes and improvements?

I used arma-IC for the basis for my mod. I'm now switching to darkest hour & IC as DH has good modability for creating custom units and such.

I use AoD and it has some problems if you want to have a somewhat historical game. For example the Chino-Japan war ends early because China easily steamrolls Japan. I have made some own modifications to fix these issues but haven't got time to test them yet. The DH version I haven't tested at all.
If you want to use all the new properties of IC then Armageddon is the version you want.

I like AOD best for Iron Cross. I totally agree with Julie64 that a big problem is China rolling Japan every game i play unless I play Japan. Nationalist Spain joining the Axis, I usually refuse because they cant defend themselves against the Americans and it becomes more beaches to defend for the Germans. Couple of other somewhat non-historical actions the AI usually takes but the games are always fun.
