I finally got the equipment I needed to give the Battletech bunker radio connectivity.

The rest of my stuff will turn up on Thursday, but for now, we have power and we have internet (and a dream).

A powerful bar radio transmitter is used to penetrate the meter thick reinforced concrete and reach the flat, 4 stories and 30m above the bunkers position.

The transmitter is then aligned with fitted cableties, to get optimal angle. For now, the PoE passthrough (white box) provides temporary power until I get the actual power in place.

Signal Strength is weak, but it's barely enough and barely enough with transmission equipment like this is a good 6-8 mbps with a ping time of 7ms. Strength is -90dbm at it's worst and -86dbm at it's best. This is what you get for trying to blast transmissions into a hardened room...

    Power is in

Everything is ready to go, we are going to find a space heater as the 11C temperature gives the iceworld maps a more realistic feel than I had intended...

The internet is stable, but too slow to use at times, due to the extremeness of what I am trying to punch through, but it works. I will have to look at improved solutions...

Now it is time to make some Battletech content :D.

    I hope you enjoyed this.
