I agree. The Russians should at least get the option to intervene in the war. Though, I doubt the Military-Dictator Russia would intervene, since they would already be starting their own "conquests"

I have a question. will Kosovo be an independent country or what? would it be part of SCG?

I believe we have the US owning it at the start, and them deciding to make it an independant country is what triggers the whole Balkan war.

I don't know how 'historically correct' or possible scenaro are you trying to build here.

We're trying to create the most realistic scenario possible and still have a war in the Balkans.

i don't beleive it would join the war - unless the Albania openly interfere with their crushing of Albanians.

We'd like to have as many countries as possible, so if it takes Albania openly interfering, then ok.

Croatia and Serbia have, in Europa Universalis terms speaking relations - 200. Officially they aren't hostile toward each other, but people... People in Croatia and Serbia still remembers all things that were done in wars after Yugoslavian breakup and in WW2. Both accuse other one for crimes, destruction etc. Situation could be compared to USA and USSR during Cold war.
In both countries there are right-winged politicans who have their ideas about borders, internal and foreign policies. For example, such people in Croatia claim that Croatian state should include Bosnia and parts of Slovenia and Serbia. Basicaly they want Croatia as it was during WW2. On the other side, Serbian "radicals" want parts of Bosnia and Croatia and entire Macedonia. Their claims are based on document by Serbian science academy called "Nacertanije". Such Serbia is called Great Serbia, and that is what ex serbian president Milosevic tried to make. That is why wars started after breakup of Yugoslavia.
So, bottom line is that Serbia and Croatia would never be allied. Also, both countries have "claims" on Bosnia.
Now that is another story, what would happen if Bosnia is attacked and so on. So if you want simple, playable MOD you'll skip going into details. I think the best thing is to continue with those events I wrote, trying to keep Bosnia out of war, and limiting Balkan war only on Kosovo fight, with Albania and Macedonia included later.

No. croatia would never allied with serbia. like adnan said. but it would (on certain conditions) take part in a carving up of bosnia. we must know that bosnia is strange situation. its independent country, but serbs don't think they are part of it, croatins think the same, only bosnians are hoping that it would hold on to its teritorial integrity.

I don't think bosnia is capable of making any aliance at all. i think that only recently got minister for defence. and i still think it has three armies (not quite sure about that) - bosnian serb army, bosnian army and croatian defence force (croatian bosnian army).

Its some kind of protectorate of UN. none decision in a country is accepted without international high commisioner approval.

croatia would participate in a carving up of bosnia (extreme right wing parties in croatia - ex-ustasha movement) but also would be quite quickly in war with serbia if serbia would try to grab/demand ex-serbian territories in croatia(serbs almost all driven out of croatia in 1995).

Balkans is really strange place. everybody is friend with everybody, but also hate everybody.

I agree with you adnan. bosnia shouldn't be at war at all. its not capable or have desire for that. same goes (i mean desire) for croatia. war should be limited on kosovo.

but i would leave macedonia out of it. lets make crush albanian rebelion event which increases disent.

we must remeber that bulgaria doesn't recognizes macedonian nation (they think they are bulgarians) and that one of most 'sacred' monuments /places for bulgarians lies in macedonia (ohrid). it would almost certainly go to war if macedonia is overrun by albania.

I would like to make a proposal to the more realistic
Balkan war event.

1)Nationaist in Serbia wins(Tomislav Nikolic)-this is very realistic
he got together with the SPS(his natural ally) almost 40% of votes.
2)In the event of Nationalists wining in Serbia,
extreme nationalist Albanians atack Serbian minority
in Kosovo thinking that world because of nationalist Serbian leader
wouldn't do anything to stop the violonce.
3)Kosovo goverment is powerless to stop them(or doesent want to).
4)Serbia asks for support(cause it cant get any troops on Kosovo)
(this would send events to Russia,USA,France,Germany and Britain)
5)After recieving none support or only from Russia,Serbia
breaks international laws and sends ground troops to protect
the Serb minority(send only little portion of troops to he north
parts of Kosovo only this should just be an event wiht no divisions).
6)Kosovo goverment is again powerless to intervene and asks
for international support ,but gets only verbal suport,expet from
Albania who sends in ground troops.
7)Serbs DOW Albania,and Kosovo goverment see this as theri last
chance for independance join Albanian state,arm their people.
8)In Macedonia Albanians are rebeling ,Macedonins cant do much alone,
so they asking for protection from Serbia and become a puppet of Serbia.
9)........

There should lot of interesting event like for the Serbs for example if
they take Kosovo etc: "We have control over Kosovo,we can now restart the
Trepca mines(one the bigges coal mines in Europe)".
You would lose rubber,manpower and suplies but every month
you shoudl get event giving you a lots of coal.Or Serbs giving the
Greece southern Albania as proof of Serb-Greek friendship
which could result in Greece calming down European powers
on the issue of Serbia.

This just seems like more realistic and not just like
"evil Serbs strike again".If you been watching news these days
this almost hapened(at least that from 1-5 sugestions).

And please see that the all the events have more than one option
if it is posible.That would be awesome.

Oh yeea,Bosnia is totally dived countrie under UN protectorat,and wiht no influence in the international or Balkan polotics.Only the events of Serbs
from bosnia volunteering for the war on the Serbia's side.

Croatia shoudl only get involved if Serbs agree with Croats to split Bosnia,with
Serbia gettin Banja Luka and Sarajevo,and Croats Mostar.

If this agreemnet was made than Serbs will have to withraw their calims on Split,Dubrovnik and Osijek.
