ok guys i think its time we come up with a general consensuson what we want to happen in the balkans. we heard plenty of ideas but i dont know which one we should agree on. lets just throw out some more scenarios and agree on one, so that the guys working on the game can have one more thing out of the way.

Agreed. We really need some ideas for the Balkans side-war, so when you guys are ready, hopefully the Balkan-Experts can throw some ideas/scens at us.

I aint from the balkens but i'm pretty sure that the relations of croatia/bosnia/serbia are hard from friendly. theres a good canidate for war

Yes, that's probably where the side-war will be, but I want the Balkan-experts to sound off and say where they think combat would most realisitically happen.

No need of invading - there are enough Albanians within Macedonia
Other potential hotspots are Kosovo, Metohia and Cyprus.

these are just my ideas, and the order i believe they should go in.

- kosova is a US administered province until like 2005 or something then it either declares independance or (because of a lack of tags) declares itself a part of albania.

- serbia protests this but because of US support no one is willing to take action against this except for serbia who then declares war on kosova, then a declaration of war by albania follows in support of kosova.

- serbia attacks kosova, and another albanian rebellion starts in nis with support from kosova.

- serbs in bosnia rebel and try to secede half of it and join it to serbia. bosnia is a mess of civil war again.

- croatia is then also attacked by local serbs as well as serbia in an attempt to cede land and out of vengeance for the expulsion of serbs out of the krajina region in croatia.

- war in macedonia as albanian rebels there try to cede it to either albania or kosova.

- bulgaria also attacks macedonia in an attempt to cede it.

- greece then asserts its territoral claim over macedonia and also declares war.

- macedonia asks serbia for help.

- montenegro declares independance from the serb-montenegrin union. a mini civil war starts there between supporters of the union and supporters of montenegrin independance.

- during this war in montenegro an albanian rebellion starts there also.

- bosniaks in novi pazar start fighting to be joined to bosnia.

- greeks attack southern albania in an attempt to join it to greece.

- albanians then attack ionina province because of old territoral claim(no longer a viable one)

- civil war in cyprus between turks and greeks, with greece supporting the greeks and turkey the turks.

- greece begins to make territorial claims over istanbul and other turkish controlled territories.

- a break down in diplomatic relations between turkey and greece, which leads to a declaration of war by both sides and eventually invasion.

i think something along these lines should happen again im open to suggestions or changes. some of my suggestions may a little extreme or very very worst case scenario, but because no one else is saying anything i thought id start it off.

It seems solid. I was waiting for the Balkan experts to comment on it. My only problem with it is that it requires 1-2 new tags for Montenegro and perhaps Kosovo.

It can be fairly easily worked around, but only at the sacrifice of other, existing, countries. I would like to keep new tags to a minimal amount, but not exclude them entirely.

Well, after we are doing getting rid of Cent Amer and Africa, we should have about 18 extra tags

That would allow us to have more tags for battle areas/important areas, and maybe even a few theoretical nations.

I think it is a bit unrealistic that Albania would want to join with an independant Kosovo or Macedonian Albanians. By all means they will accept refugees and maybe support independance movements with weapons, but Albania is and will be in no state to attack into macedonia or Greece. That said they will defend themselves heroically if attacked by the evil slavs.

And to be honest with you, I don't know a great deal about the Balkans, so I'm not sure about what we will do.

Oh, and you might want to remove that, don't want to offend anybody, even if you are joking/being sarcastic

italy having T.C. on croatia is nonsense,there arent 2% italians here from ww2...croatia is already handicaped by istria being part of italy...
for new balkan war,i doubt it would start at all...countries are exhausted (we just finished one,right)
but if you really want it...albania+kosovo+croatia+croat/muslim bosnia vs serbia montengegro serb republic is not so bad idea...serb rebellions in croatia are pretty much nonsense too,in last war most of serbs run away&expelled (as u want...)
so today they maybe can rebel in 4 villages
