The "Romanian Space" in EU3

My question is:

Transilvania and Banat what culture shell have the 2 provinces???
I supose Magyar not Romanian....no??
(Even if the Romanian population is majoritary!!!)

Balkans are a registered flamewar trademark, and since neither of the two provinces is in the Balkans, this is a clear violation of this intellectual asset.

As for Banat... from what I've seen that province covers contemporary Vojvodina, Bacs, Szeged and Timisioara. Even today Romanians make only a fraction of that regions population, even less so during the EU2 timeframe. The two cultures that would be competing there would be Magyar and Serbs.

I disagree with you because the Romanian space(Romania from today) it is a Balkan state! and Hungary had major interests in this area in the Middle ages, and can be consideated a Balkanic state.
And in the romania Banat the majoriti of the population is romania, come and see what langauage is sooken in Timisoara! And you are right ther is a minority o serbs and magyars,but not a majority.
In the serbian Banat( Vojvodina) the majority is serb, at this point I agree with you

Well, Vojvodina has over 2 million inhabitants, Timisoara and the rest of the Timis county have 600,000, plus the part that is in Hungary would make the todays population of that province cca. 3 million. 600,000/3,000,000 = 20% So even a 100% Romanian population in Timis would make only 20% of the total population.

Romanians make 83% population in Timis(cca. 500,000 people), 1,5% in Vojvodina(cca. 30,000 people), 0,8% in Hungary total. If all Romanians in Hungary lived within the borders of that province that would be another 80,000 people.

500,000+30,000+80,000= 610,000 out of 3 million ~ 20%

Slanderer! He gave information on Hungarian and Romanian provinces and both are on the wrong side of the Danube. This in no way indicates that Balkans are anything other than PTI.

We need more of these. Did you know that Paradox is only giving Ireland 5 provinces? In reality there are 36 counties on the island! I demand change before the game is released!

On a more serious note I suggest adding the Balkans to the list of banned topics. Really it seems that any form of constructive debate on the topic is impossible. People keep saying some damned silly things in these threads.

Banning something never solves the problem Just look at all those poor *cough*Byzantine*cough* fans.

Considering how vitally important the Balkans/Romanian Principalities/Hungary were during this time period, as it was a major area of interest for the Ottoman Empire, Hapsburg Empire, Poland, Crimea, Russia, and Venice, I hope Paradox is more serious in the actual development of it rather than how they choose to answer questions about it.

C'mon folks, we've seen the maps and while not perfect, they're definite improvement over EU1/EU2 map. Overall, they will most probably be quite satisfactory. Nitpickers can wait for an EU3 mymap after months upon months upon months of arguing over tiniest bits and pieces.

This isnt even a Balkans thread but yet another more_provinces/my_culture thread and these are equally useless no matter what corner of the globe is discussed at this point. Thats probably why the big boss made that sarcastic response.

Ireland has 5 provinces????????? To much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we compare the surface of Ireland with Wallachia, the 2 provinces
are eqal(aprox 100.000 sqare Km).
So in my opinion Ireland must have 1 province!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we respect the proportion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But seriously, how much did wallachian borders change and how much did the province switch ownership during the time period? Ireland at least had those high kings and chieftains that were in conflict with the British.
