“Cheers Ambrose 33, a nice piece of work indeed which I read earlier today”. Judge throws down a bunch of paper on the table and walks over to the bar desk. “Hm, a cold beer please”. Amric, swift as usual serves a nice cold beer without delay. “Well cheers Nalivayako for an excellent show, was really fun to read your Caesar story, wonder what you will feed us with next time?. Well I have actually been playing EU 2 again after some Vic playing so I have plenty of material to write about, posted an update in my Kingdom of Jerusalem AAR recently and I am writing on updates in my Tiger and Cum Deo AARs too. Oh and I have revived my Vic AAR Red Hot Chile too, just some minor revival but I hated the idea of abandon an AAR so…”
The OscAAR Nomination Thread has some interesting AAR's under consideration for the next OscAAR poll. Megalomaniacal Conquest Spree is the topic and there are some real good ones in there, you might want to check it out and see if there is one that hasn't been nominated yet.
I've also noticed that some of the new AAR's have faded away suddenly. If it is because you haven't noticed a lot of replies don't fret. It is the VIEWS that really tell the tale of how successful or popular the story is. It has been stated before, but as the bAARtender I felt it should also be restated.
With so many tales being crafted, sometimes to get as much reading as possible in, I myself have been guilty of lurking more and posting less. I do try to say something at times to let the writer know that I am reading, but I don't do as good a job at it as I should. I know others are also guilty of this, but by seeing how many views there are you can take heart that there are people reading, even if they don't necessarily respond as often as you would like.
Plus, if you persevere in your writing others will probably start to read. So many start AAR's and then quickly stop writing, discouraged. Some people don't jump into a new story until it has gone a couple of pages or so, to ensure that it is a story that will keep going, rather than be abandoned.
Plus, when you are brand new, it doesn't hurt to read, and reply to stories that you have been enjoying. It gets you some 'name recognition' and could prompt them to check out your own story as well.

“St Valentine is truly approaching, faster than I would like Amric”. Judge sits down at a table carefully considering what to buy to his dear girl friend. “Still remember once when I forgot that day, and it was a nasty experience I tell you, very nasty indeed. Well a bottle of champagne should do the trick I hope, and some flowers are always a good idea”. Judge picks up his wallet to check how much money there is left. “A beer please Amric, sure have to prioritise the costs. I agree about the writing part, can´t give up too easy even if you don’t get that many replies, and yes, the number of views are a good indication, at least you know that there are some interest left. Nice update in your Cyprus AAR, beware, the savages may be attacking before St Valentine.

I just want to announce the start of my first AAR; Vlaendre die Leu! A medieval AAR.

Long time no see! Gi'me rum... and ice. I need to drink something before talking to the people.
Gets the drink from Amric, then starts a little speech.
I think I owe some explanations here. I haven't updated any of my AARs lately and I've been reading only a very few number of ones. I think I have to give you an explanation for that. No, no. I'm not short in time or with too many duties out of here. This is not the problem.
To tell you... I don't intend to offend anyone or such, but the fact is that I'm somehow losing interest. I simply overloaded myself the last months reading/writing AARs that somehow I need a break. I went to a point that I can't read one whole installment... no, the writings are most great, but imagine that you have a pot full of objects. It's full but you still want to put more objects inside... but you don't realise it's full. This is what happens.
I do enjoy reading the AARs here, I really enjoy writing my ones. But I'm giving myself a break... and I will come back. I will not abandon you! Neither my tales will be abandoned.
This is not a kind of protest, please don't understand it this way. It's just things with me.

Judge carefully picks up his wallet and finds two Canadian dollars. “I hope these will cover the cost Amric, if not I have some machine parts I found in the Victorian tea room that I would like to pay with if that’s ok?.

A sweet innocent girl enters the bar together with Judge exactly two minutes after Youghurt. “Oh my God, I don’t know what to chose, German Bratwurst or French Fries”. It seems that the poor girl is quite bewildered but she manages to walk over to Amric in the bar.
“A glass of champagne please Amric”. Amric immediately recognizes the girl; it is Erika Blow, a famous actress from the Cum Deo AAR. The cold glass of champagne is swiftly delivered to her with a comforting word.
“Ah what a dilemma to have to chose between the French King Henri III , good looking and loaded with jewellery and money, and the Christian hero the Judge, who recently taught the unbelievers a lesson and freed Jerusalem. Money or Piety, that is the question”.
Erika Blow suddenly looks shy. “Perhaps you care to read about my dilemma in the latest post in the Cum Deo AAR? I met this French guy –representing Henri III- between the sheets and, and some things happened [suddenly Erika turns towards Amric]…Amric I know Judge was inspired by your excellent description of a lover´s meeting in your Cyprus AAR but I am afraid Judge didn’t quite find the balance and the sophistication that was so lovely with your description though I am sure he tried….
Hm, well I don’t want to give you more details right now since I am a honourable women”. Her voice is lowered and she starts to moisten her lips. “However I have to decide who to give up my virginity to, Henri III or the Judge, that is a tough question for an innocent girl”.

If it weren't for that stinker Carolus Rex, it'd be the first ever TT AAR."
