C'mon, Korea, you carpeted Oirat three times, take more :(

That's the most I've ever seen AI Poland on the Adriatic.

And a word of congratulations to the two Atlantic Iberians: Portugal for breaking free of the BBB and Galicia for just existing :)

OMG this is so cool how did you do it?

I am almost done with my observe playthrough and the main difference here is the huge Persia. I got the same results for the 2 most unbalanced things:

- lucky Poland is too much and ends up destroying the Ottomans
- Korea and Oirat always end up allying and destroying Manchu or the tribes
- Netherlands non existent or irrelevant

How do you do these time lapses?

I was interested to see what becomes of the Golden Horde, because in my most recent game... Genoa annexed the whole of Crimea. As soon as that happened, they got Crimean rebels carpeting, eventually getting their freedom. For a month. At this point the Golden Horde stepped in (in the steppes!) and took Crimea for themselves. Before that they took half of Kazan, now they are taking on the Nogai horde. I've seen Crimea and Nogai partition the Golden Horde a thousand times, this is the frirst time when I see the Golden Horde literally own their neighbours. Sorry for this little off-topic story.

It's sosheartening to see how railroaded a lot of the outcomes are...it's like normal timeline with minor alterations.

fear revolutionary Norway! if it hadn't been for the three big blobs it would have been a lot nicer France really messed things up as well as Poland. looks like the Catholics won the war. Portugal way to go for colonizing Brazil but wtf why is the rest of it french lol. the ottomans never seem to really get powerful enough perhaps a event that annexes the Mameluke after they defeat them would help. its weird how the east coast is half British colony and half USA. also it looks like Greece is still orthodox as well as the caucuses. is that true? try starting at a later start date and see what happens. a Spain that has powerful colonies and a commonwealth would be interesting to see how that would work out. i like the later dates better there more balanced in some ways.

Woah woah woah, Japan actually colonizes Hokkaido instead of Spain or Portugal? That's a first.

they didnt colonize it they annexed it. in art of war, hokkaido is owned by the ainu and are no longer colonies.

well...No.

They just conquered it from ainu. Not colonisation.

But i totally get your point...

LOL korea is my favourite nation this patch. (so far)

so nice to expand up that coast... just be careful because about 30 years in, ming will randomly start hating you, which i thought was kinda sad since i wanted to westernize BEFORE starting stuff with the france of asians.

the hordes are a easy enough affair...

sad thing is i have to start in the year 1470 (first year that korea has dip3) or my ship templates do not work right. (can't lower ammount of trade ships no matter what, even if you delete all previous templates D:)

Isn't it good that the outcomes are historical? I want to play in a historical playground, not some alienish civ5 style world.

I don't think you understand the butterfly effect. The USA should not exist 999 times out of 1000 diverging from the year 1444 A.D. Neither should Rev. France or many other events. These are only given a slide since only few people grasp the concept of true alternative plausible history.

To draw a modern analogy, if Al Gore got elected as American President in 2000 instead of Bush, there would probably be no European Union, Ebola outbreak, iPhone, or many other modern topical entities. What is extrapolated from there draws infinite outcomes. Even if you decide to place your left foot even a fraction of a degree away in another direction, it causes a chain of reaction that leads to infinite change and outcomes over time. This change also melds with all the innumerable actions happening in the universe at any time.

So the Polish AI makes a lategame comeback now, being lucky, but they still don't know how to protect their PU from Russia...

That endgame NA looks really interesting though.
