I am pleased to make an exciting announcement, the union of Unknown-X's highly-praised "Victory-X Megamod" and my own Community Mod. Both of which, excellent mods, from now on will be combined to form the "Victoria United Modification Project"!

The unification was quite natural really. Unknown and I each seemed to have pursued completely different things while creating our mods. Unknown was highly regarded for his AI tweaks, and I was known for my new events, and game-balance modifications. Hopefully, the combination of our creative abilities will result in the definitive mod for Victoria.

Of course, this mod will not just focus on us, but it will combine the hard work of many other mods, Xyrix's Paris Commune Mod, Pimparel's Brazil mod, Dale's Australia Mod, all of people who have worked on the Pop mod, and anyone kind enough to share their work in the future. If you have an idea, feel free to share it with us.

So, let me just thank anyone who has ever taken the time to try out either of our mods. If anyone is unfamillar with them, this might not be a bad time to check 'em out, you can find our mods in the scenarios and modications forum. So just stay tuned, we have some great stuff cooking, and we appreciate all of the community's gracious support for our work in the past, present, and future.

P.S- And mods, please let this thread stay in the general forum for just a little while.

This sounds great, I have played them both, and I love the ecomic model in X's mod and I love the events in the community mod! great job! Hopefully some of the stuff that you guys have done will end up in some later patch, cus its well worth it. great job, once again.

I think that the we will use Victory X economy, as i have spent so much time on this "AI based economy model". But, i'm ready for compromises and mybe we'll see even some events from community mod that will increase production of some factories...but i'm against any changes that make production differ more than 10%[aka increasing production of all factories by 1/2 or more - You will not find such nonsense in (v)U.M.P ] from vanilla Victoria.

tnx to that moderator who moved that topic so quickly(eventhough Mozart41st asked for small favor of keeping it in general alittle longer) - yer a real pal !

I do not know. I had always thought that the Communinty mod should increase production even more then it does. I hope that it is not lowered even more.

I don't know, but something seems wrong with the economy.

I use the Community mod until now and I still can't make any money as Prussia, but as Japan or Egypt I make tons (although paying 100% for crime fighting, literacy and army upkeep)...

I simply don't understand...

Well, then try Victory X megamod for a change then. We need suggestions of improvement for both mod's as they are formaly one right now

I'm one of those sucker's who don't like being challenged so I find the current community mod economy to be pretty perfect because it allows you to make money but keeps you from making huge, unhistoric, stupid amounts of it. I would be sad if it was changed but I guess I'm in the minority

erm...what do you mean? What makes you think that the new economy system that is a combination of Victory X and Community mod is going to help players make huge, unhistorical ammounts of money?(where has this been stated?) Please don't make hasty asumptions.

I think he is impling the opposite, he fears that the new system will reduce the player to the poverty of vanilla 1.02 while the community mod struck the right balance between extremes.

I have to agree that I always found the output in the Community Mod to be just about perfect. After spending a great deal of time heavily testing quite a few different things, I found the level present in the Community Mod to represent an "economic sweetspot" of sorts, especially when combined with the increased prices of railroads, colonies, and many other things. I am pleased to see so many who feel the same. Hopefully we can look forward to this continuing without too much change in the future.

Well, and there are SO MANY who feel different way. So, we have to find a golden crossroad, because i, personally, think that your economical sweetspot is a bit to sweet for me to swallow, but as i said, because we are now together in this boat we have/and will find solutions to critical problems such as this. To all users there, i can assure that i will be fighting for the economy model found in Victory X megamod and i'm sure Mozart41st will give his best to push his changes in to the U.M.P ;) .
