My recent runs have switched from achievement- to bughunting and quite frankly it gets a tad bit frustrating

Just to mention a few

- Diplomatic costs for naval access stay indefinitely and stack until you reload
- Colonies neither convert nor culture shift provinces unless they have a direct land connection to it through their own territory
- Pathfinding is so bad calling it anything but bugged would be a compliment. I can save several months when walking from India to the Mashriq region by creating my own path and sometimes detours over a different province are taken when sending troops to a neighbouring province which can't even be corrected
- Splitting troops can lead to a displayed arrival time of Jan 1. Year 1. You need to group your troops again to get a vague idea of the possible time of arrival
- The displayed arrival time for fleets is incorrect by 1 day per sea tile.
- Overlapping Zones of Control recalculate once a fort is taken down. This can - in the worst case - lead to an army being trapped. Extreme example, but possible
- The non-exiled army bug
- A diplomat sent to improve relations does not improve relations at all. I do not know the trigger for this one yet
- Building a spy network in a nation that migrates prevents you from creating a spy network until your spy is back at home. Normally you can immediately resend a diplomat after recalling the first one.
- Taking provinces overseas for yourself resets your diplomat as soon as the province is being transferred to your colony effectively giving you a travel time of 2 days

Bear in mind that this is not a list I gathered. This is just from my most recent GB run which has been going on for about 20 hours.

Where can I report those?

I think what happens is that, if the rate at which you'll be improving their opinion of you is less than one, it gets rounded to 0. Said rate is based on two things: your "Improve relations" modifier, and absolute value of their current opinion of you. So if you have a low improve relations modifier (e.g. from negative prestige) and their opinion of you is either extremely low or extremely high, you get the bug.

First time I saw it was as Castile (with low prestige from disinheriting Enrique) on a vassalised Navarra (who had a high opinion of me). Happened to me a few hours ago as Poland (with low prestige from boosting my amazing heir) on the Teutonic Knights (my vassal with a -200 opinion of me). When I sent a diplomat to them, the game at first claimed their opinion of me would improve at 0.9 per month, but this changed to 0 on the first monthly tick. I might do a test run soon to see if that happens consistently.

To get access to the Bug Report forum you need to sync your owned items with the Paradoxplaza.
You do that by simply hovering over your account name and avatar in the top right and selecting "Owned Items" and clicking the "Sync owneditems" button in the next menu.

For that to work, you need to connect your Paradoxplaza account to your Steam account by clicking your email at the very top right of this page and going to the "Settings" tab of your account.

I considered my latest WC an unpaid bugtest into vassal AI.

I would type up a report on it but there is so much broken about it.

Hello, what version and DLCs did you play with?

All major DLCs, no mods enabled and the most recent patch (1.19.2?)

I can try looking for some save files if you need them.

And regarding the instant diplomat travel time: I listed it here because transferring control over to my colonies and fully annexing natives did give me full travel time. Taking provinces for myself (and having them transferred automatically a day later automatically) did send him back immediately.

One of these things should not happen.

Congratulations on your devclash game by the way. Beautiful run.

Save would be nice for a couple of the bugs. If you have saves for the bugs below, it would be nice if you could upload:
- Diplomatic costs for naval access stay indefinitely and stack until you reload.
- Splitting troops can lead to a displayed arrival time of Jan 1. Year 1. You need to group your troops again to get a vague idea of the possible time of arrival.

Congratulations on your devclash game by the way. Beautiful run.

Thanks! :) Hopefully next Dev MP will be even better!

@StarNaN I'm not the original poster, but that one is 100% reproducible for me: If you split off an army and the new army starts moving at the same day, the arrival time is shown relative to Jan 1st, Year 1 on the first day. After the day tick it corrects itself. If I were to guess, I would say that some date-related field of the army is initialized to zero instead of the current date.

Yes, I notice it around 10 times per campaign, at least. This is because I pause all the time to micro, you wouldn't notice it if you were playing on speed 2-3 but weren't pausing a lot, and I think this is what most of you devs do. Just do exactly what SpaceNomad said.

There is no real issue, as the date is shown as January 17th if the army arrives 16 days later, so you can guess when it will arrive. It leads to some erroneous symbols of "a battle will happen on..." as well, this is how I usually notice it.

If only this list were even close to comprehensive :(.

The UI lies to every player in every game routinely during peace deals and before declaring wars when a coalition is involved, known issues for over a year now but still noob traps since they're not fixed. The unfortunate reality is that you can't trust the UI, can't trust combat to resolve cleanly (IE side with more morale shatters while winning still), can't trust every instance of who "will join the war", can't trust fort ZoC etc.

It's trial and error gameplay with tons of still-abusable actions too (such as deliberately walking through ZoC to carpet an AI any time you feel like it being still possible). These aren't considered priority issues for whatever reason so they've stuck around a long time.

Well fixing those are hardly going to bring anymoney in. Fancy features on the otherhand do which is why major bugs are not fixed often, its simply not cost effective.

Let's not drift towards a general "they don't care" mood please. Else I have to delete the thread.

I see Eu4 as a subscription game. I pay for DLCs, I get constant updates. Some are better, some are worse, some are free, some I pay for.

It is even to be preferred over a subscription system since patches are free and I can decide myself which DLCs I do need in the end.

The amount of bugs is annoying and did spawn my little rant, but I would rather not direct this against the developer or programmers personally.

Just on that travel time bug where your diplomat teleports back when control is transferred to the CN, could we please not fix that? With the way wars against new world natives work now, I like to fabricate one claim on someone with lots of allies and then peace them each out separately for 'concede colonial region' (or just just full annex if they are not reformed).

You have to separate peace them all to do this effectively and it would be fairly tedious if this bug was fixed. Thanks.
