Hmm, on Alaska I pretty sure it says somethere in one of the book something about the US buying it, ala some of the characters talking about what the h*** they want with that iceberg.
Ohh, while we are at it, what about the republic of Houston, must be something for our Texas friends or the semi independent territory of Sequoyah (Oklahoma).
Well here is a few other ones, no panama canal, and Philippines to Japan.

Kumar, still can't see the image.:(

Houston was west and a bit of north Texas and it was a state. Sequoia ((sp) Oklahoma) is occupied like Canada.

The Mexican civil is over in the books right? That might be fun to model. :) I remember reading that there were wars between some of the South American nations, lime Chile and Argentina. I think there was another war but I can't remember which two countries were in it.

I think it was chile against argentina and then at the end Brazil joins the central powers and effectively ends the naval aspect down their, iirc. :)

I think this is what was meant. Bulgarian occupied Greek lands.

Well if a mod will be made, I think details like exactly which provinces are a part of a given country, which provinces it occupies, what the government and the army is are needed.

There is a way to view Care2, you click on it, then select copy shortcut. After that, paste it on Address, where you type in www.europa-uni and on so. I finally could see it.

One problem, how do we show the division of VA if there is whole Virginia as one province in HOI? I mean, USA have Northern and Eastern VA, as buffer to DC. I just think that it would be easy (and strange) walk over for Confederates to take American provinces of Maryland and DC without go through the US controled VA.

Last I heard, England was giving power to the Silver Shirts, so they would most likely be Fascist as well. Germany and the US are going to experience a relation cool down, most likely, but will still be allies for purely geo-political reasons. That is, of course, if the US doesn't undergo a Communist revolt or anything(and with a worse Depression, it very well could). Also remember to put Deseret in as revolters ;)

I really don't remember anything about "Silver Shirts", do you recall what their goals were?

The monarchy has been restored in France also, right? I don't have the books here at college so I can't look them up.

The Silver shirts were the UK fascist party. The French also had a fascist party.

Yep however, so far they are not yet in the power of UK. So, I would say UK will remains monarchy but I would recommend that Britian has the chance to go fasicst.

We really could use Harry Turtledove here.

UGH! Turtledove's series just doesn't apply to me at all. First of all, Texas would NEVER have given up the panhandle. If we knew we were going to defeat the north, we'd have taken back everything we had before 1850. Secondly, as I understood it, someone traveled back in time to give the CSA automatic weapons. Why in the hell, then, did the CSA only take northern Mexico? If they had automatic weapons, I promise you, we'd have taken all of Mexico, Cuba (for the sugar) and most of the Caribbean. Alternate history is interesting, but only when it's based on events that could actually have happened. A good example is What If and What If 2.

Oh, one modification. What If 2 had a ridiculous story that ended with Roman control of the world if Jesus had been spared. The rest of them are good, though.

You are confusing Guns of South with Great War series.

In Great War, Rebs won naturally, it is because that lost order of 94 (number is wrong?) was recovered by a Confederate patrol instead of have an American finding the order (Lost Order was not lost in the book.) They bought Cuba from Spain in 1867.

Rebs bought Northern Mexico. They gave up a part of Texas because they lose the Great War.

Ah! OK. That makes a little bit more sense, then. If they're based on events that could actually happen, I may have to check them out.

By the way, I noticed a problem on my first post. I said they don't "apply" to me. I meant to say "appeal." My mistake.
