I think I have hit proper critical mass size now. Just have to keep rolling over my foes.
Making Rome 2.0 would be a whole lot easier if I wasn't getting invaded so much. Don't they know I can't be stopped?
I can start to make friendlies with the Emperor of China. I have a feeling some of my family are going to be moving east soon. Possibly as eunuchs.
The only way to truly dominate trade in the Mediterranean will be when I conquer it all.
I almost have all the non-Christian held lands in the east. After that I just need the west to fill up before we go heretic or some other religion.
I am still not sure why as a republic I can't stop things from being inherited outside my lands but just a quirk. Otherwise Rome strong!

I make the ultimate heresy. There appear to be some perks with this kind of heresy and being a Merchant Republic I wasn't aware of.
Turns out that Merchant Republics don't get decadence. Makes sense I guess since you want sons just hanging around in your court so it would be very counterproductive to things.
