Hello dudes and dudettes. So while I was happily playing along in my Canada campaign in the extended timeline mod, I arrived at July 1914 and was rather disappointed that in my scenario, there is no World War 1! (Yes it was a tragic war in real life, but in Europa stuff like that is pretty exciting)
Germany hasn't even formed at this point! Prussia never managed to do it in this campaign that I started in 1867, upon Canada's "sort of" independence. So I decided to turn to none other than the community to create a WW1 story here!
I will post a political mapmode which you can use to create your two alliance groups. Or you can use the one I made with the alliance groups I created from this system that I came up with to "generate" the allies and enemies strongly based on current relations between these nations in my campaign.
The aim of the game is to come up with interesting scenarios, battles, share opinions of which team would dominate in which portion of the world, pick a country that would dominate or that would die first and say why, you can even come up with events or something and write them in a "wikipedia article" style. I hope people will find this fun, best case scenario is that I've created the "next big thing" in the forums but I kinda doubt that lol.

Grey - The Alliance
Black - Neutral Countries
In my scenario, I've equated the real life participants into countries in my campaign, for example:
Austria-Hungary in real life began World War 1, and Germany was the main leader of the Triple Alliance.
In my scenario, the United Kingdom begins WW1, and Russia takes over as main leader.
I write this as:
Austria-Hungary - United Kingdom
Germany - Russia
The Entente
France - Ottoman Empire
United Kingdom - Qing Empire
Russia - USA
Italy - Persia
USA - The Netherlands
Other Entente members: Spain, Canada (me), Colombia, France
The Alliance
Germany - Russia
Austria-Hungary - United Kingdom
Ottomans - Brazil
Bulgaria - Mexico
Other Alliance members: Afghanistan, Iraq, Italy, Prussia (suitable lol), Portugal
All these countries are illustrated in my generated scenario map above, but this list shows their roles in my scenario as a comparison to real life
