I was fighting an awakened empire. I was strong enough to attack and beat any single fleet they had. I just was in a fight. I was moving to repair and the AE jumped EVERY fleet in range to my position. I had to retreat during battle and they gained a huge WE advantage that way and put me in a situation where there was no way I could regain the WE lead by the time I was forced to peace. This is exactly what a good player would do.
