It seems my damn connection is not working well today. I think it is better if you try to use a sub for France.

I don't think it's cool that his sub did that right before the game ended...but anyway. I was happy with that game and happy that my income went up 80 more ducats a month. I won't be able to keep this up much longer...

I am not sure if I could see you, my connection is very sucky right now :( (I only can download 200 kb of the savefile and the damn thing disconnects).

So, what happened? Apart of a war with England and that we dowed -anyone could care to explain why- Austria?

And well, how is french inflation, income and tech? (right now I do not have a lot of hope on that).

I can shed some light on the war, but not on french economy.

OE decided to make a landgrab in Russia. When OE was about to capture the goldmine Samara earmarked for Poland, Austria intervened to stop OE expansion. Venice decided to piggyback on Austrian demolition derby, and France stood by its ally.

Thus, it ended up at war with OE ally England.

This turned out to be a great waste of resources when the only gain was Bosnia for Venice.

At the moment, France is at war together with Venice over the "Chambers of Reunion".

Austria protests most heartily these new french claims and will have them dropped at the tip of a sword unless France acquiesces, drops them willingly and pays a symbolic sum for the costs incurred preparing for this punitive expedition.

:D :D :D

Next session will be good clean fun.

Well, according to the technicians of the damn company, I need to reinstall everything. If that do not work (and is the only anwer that the company gives to me) I will have to change company, and I could only play again who knows where.

And, well regarding the Chambers of Reunion, since France liked the 1648 situation (no idea what had happened in the meantime) no problem dropping the claim. I hope that Pfalz, Koln and the swiss are still french vassals. About indemnities, well as long as they are a token one :) (since unless France is really wrecked we should got still a nice income).

About the war with OE and England, shame on you selfparody :) You knew that I wanted to have friendly relations with England and no intentions to go to a war with them. I hope that I still got a navy and not all of french TPs in NA were burned.

Well, I officialy hate my sub (and I apology to him for this, but I do not understand really)

In 30 years, land tech advanced from 26 to 27. Income from 250's to 260's. And doing such marvelous things like full investment in stability when at +2! or sending 5 o 6 traders to Ile de France when you already got monopoly and for example you do not have any presence in Tuscarora

And in colonial matters: Lost Johore, almost all of our NA posessions (and that lands are now Spanish ones). No new colonies (a TP in Buru!), no conquered Kansai or Shanghai (well not, Austria conquered Kansai), no new conversions etc. And the navy -a decent one when I left, good tech and a size-, of no use.

I hope my connection will be stable enough next monday. 30 years lost need to be recovered :)

Hmmmm

Shame on me Arco? Aside from the thing I had told you in private...I entered the war vs. OE as simple opportunism. They had cores and my cultures and I didn't want Austria to get all of it... I told England I wanted no hostilities vs. them. But England joined in not to defend her ally but to rip away some colonies from both of us...which was done by burning TP's. So I did do what you asked and what I told you I would do.

Your sub seemed like a very nice person but needs more experience playing mp. I had a hard time communicating with him. I tried for years to get him to make peace, I thought a chunk of North Africa for you...and some Balkans for me. This was a chore, so eventually I got a sep peace. And Slargos it was also Morea and Hellas not just Bosnia.

In his defense he did dipplo-annex Helvetia...not sure if that is what you wanted...

And of course I have no idea why he DoW'd Austria when we all said we were done for the session. Malicious? Oblivioius? I looked over the save and there aren't even any cb's on Austria...Inexplicable.

But I suppose France will go back to being the accountant of the world now. Too bad about your connection.

Since one of my last words before seeing the save was:
'I hope that Pfalz, Koln and the swiss are still french vassals' you can see that I do not wanted annexation of Helvetia. A permanent feature of french policy is vassal in our frontiers (only in Liguria we do not follow this policy and for obvious reasons :)

But probably the sub could not know that (and so, no grudges about that).

About the english issue, I will talk with you in ICQ :)

And it seems the french accountant will need to appear soon. And in related news, anyone willing to sell a COT :) France is willing to pay some thousands of ducats for them.

This was indeed a mighty fine session for Denmark. 2 more goldmines, a bit more of Sweden, more devoped colonies, inflation down to 0... mmmm!:D

RP Off

you have decided to kill a dead horse. France should be able to fight Austria when France decided peace when at war with Austria together with denmark/oe/netherland/england.

This just prooves once more my point: France made a HUGE mistake making peace with Austria in last war (and Austria made a great deal out of it).
Actually this game is quite defined with Austria as ruler of europe.

RP On

Netherlands remains neutral in this war. Dutch dukes are interested only in developing their colonies and getting more rich, nor in fighting a war which does not belong to us.
Last war was quite instrucitive for us. We lost money and stability for a war that Frane alone decided to end soon after it started.
