In HoI3 I have always ignored sending an expeditionary German force, aka the Africa Korps to Italy to help out because there was no certainty that it would be sent to Africa and there after you would have to recall them to take control of them.

I have seen the mechanism that allows you to give volunteers to a country in Civil war and then take control. I know that this does not work with Expeditionary forces. However would this be a good DLC??

How could we do a Africa Korps that gives control to Germany in North Africa. I always found that Italy lost N.Africa without any help.

What do you think??

My Africa Korps was always in Palastine and Egypt and occupying Suez :)

Giving Control to germany I think in Hoi3 that was easy right because when you did a naval landing it was always your country that got it, right? Only when you conquered from someone elses territory did it switch to him.
If its still that way then just land somewhere on the eastern Mediterranean coast supported by planes from Greece or whatever country you got near.
Might be that its diferent now but probably if you do a naval landing yourself on UK territory its probably germany controlled then I don't get why they'd change that. Maybe sth. different would be if you occupy like Ethiopia maybe then it gets transferred to Italy be cause they initiated the war? No idea though have they shared anything in that direction?

There was a Developer Diary entry which mentioned peace conferences, so you can negotiate for what you want using points for what you've contributed, or something to that effect. Problem is, that's a "post war" settlement, so if they go GiE, you're stuck with the current situation until their entire faction is defeated.

The problem in HOI3 was that GER had no access to transports in the Med after the UK jumped into the war, so the only ways you could get troops to Africa were to send them before the outbreak of hostilities, station transports in an Italian port before the war, turn the troops over to Italian control (where the odds of them ending up in Africa were slim), take Gibraltar, or gain access to a port of your own on the Med. Worse, if you did take a port by pre-stationing transports, you couldn't supply your new territory, and your allies wouldn't do so. I never even once saw an AI Germany with troops in North Africa in all of the campaigns I played.
