The Achievement Suggestion Compilation Thread

[Grand Historian]

Much like with the Idea Suggestion Compilation Thread, this thread will be one for achievements; both for archiving purposes and to hopefully help the devs and other user to find them easier. I'll do my best to copy any ones I see here, but if I've missed any or if you have any ideas of your own, please feel free to contribute (specific details would be appreciated)!

The Polish Corridor

Starting as a custom nation of Polish culture and 2 or less provinces, own at least 1000 development and 100 provinces while having no province border 3 or more other provinces.

Inspired by the Polish Corridor, which was a small strip of land that split East Prussia from Germany and gave Poland access to the sea.

A Porcelain Dynasty

As Ming, own all provinces that produce Chinaware and build a manufactory on all of them

Revenge of the Celts

As Gaeldom, own Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, and Brittany and ensure all of these regions are a Celtic culture.

The Confederate Dream

As the United States, own all Cotton and Slave producing provinces while not having the Abolition of Slavery modifier.

Let My People Go

As a Jewish faith nation, own the Palestine area and ensure that there are no slave producing provinces.

From the part in Jewish and Christian history when Moses went to the Pharaoh and said "let my people go" while they were slaves in Egypt.

• Land of the Morning Sun

Starting as Korea, form Japan, and own all provinces belonging to Nippon Trade Node as cores.

• Space Turtleship Yamato

As Korea, form Japan, then get 135% Ship Durability.

Preemptive Strike

As Ming/Qing, own Kyoto, own Nanjing and make sure it has no devastation and at least 30 development, and ensure no nation has a Japanese culture as their primary culture.

Inspired by what went down in the Second Sino-Japanese war including the things that... occurred in Nanjing.

The Great Wall of Mongolia

As Mongolia, own at least 20 provinces that border the Ming and have forts in all of them.

Held together by hopes and dreams

Have at least 20 vassals with all of them having 100% liberty desire.

Based on how if you have enough vassals, it doesn't matter that all of them are disloyal, they simply can't call in enough vassals to win the war for independence. See Nahuatl Mexico for proof

Cats are better than dogs

As Miao(a nation releasable from the Ming at game start), vassalize Venice

Dogs are better than cats

As Venice, have Miao as a non-tributary subject nation

Both of these achievements are based on the very important argument revolving around cats versus dogs. As Miao sounds like Meow(when pronounced correctly), it represents the cat, while the Doge of Venice is the dog.

Doges of war: Have over 100 regiments rented out as Condottieri as Venice.

Milk of human kindness: Trade in livestock as Scotland whilst you have a Kind-Hearted ruler.

Great southern continent: Own and core the entire Southern Hemisphere as Australia.

Then as a Fars: As Fars, reconquer a core province that your previously conquered and then lost.

• Article 9

As Japan, never declare the war against any country with no provinces in Japan region until 1821, while having 100 heavy ships or more.

(It's okay to colonize empty provinces, diplomatic annexation, or letting colonial nations declaring war.
Also, okay to be declared war and engage defensive war. But should not take any provinces outside Japan region through the war)

Inspired by, of course, 日本国憲法9条 (Article 9 of Japanese constitution)
Also inspired by 日本国自衛隊 (Japanese Self-Defense force), the de facto military force of post-ww2 Japan, which nowadays has less army and huge amount of navy.

• That dude in the High Castle

As Japan, own (or have your non-tributary subject own) Hawaii, and 40 provinces in North America super region, including Los angeles, San fransisco, Seattle, and Anchorage.

Yup, you know 'The man in the High Castle'.

• All-Big-Warships doctrine gone too far

Complete Maritime idea group, have more than 500 heavy ships while having 40 army regiments or less, and do not own any 'continental' province. All of your own provinces must be in 'Islands' (Such as Japan, Britain, Indonesia...) including your captial province.

• Permanent Blockade

Have all 'islands' of whole world, and do not own more than 5% of development of continental provinces.

(I think there should be a map mode to distinguish 'continent' and 'islands'. Not only for these two achievement, but also let maritime nations act more naval-oriented)

• Area 11

As any non-American British culture nation with non-constitutional monarch, own whole Japan region, and defeat 11 rebel armies within Japan.

• Little East Asia Co-Prosperity

As Japan, own Taiwan, Jeju, Sakhalin, and 10 Pacific islands including Hawaii, Guam, Aleut, Galapagos, Easter Island (Rapanui), and become the Empire of China without directly owning any Chinese or Manchurian provinces.

• I prefer lacquerware to chinaware.

As Ming or Qing, directly own whole Japan region, move capital into Japan, and change primary culture to Japanese group.

• Korean preachers gone frenzy

As Korea, change the state religion to either Protestant or Reformed, and convert more than 100 provinces.

• Trans-Siberian Express

Connect St.Petersburg, Novgorod, Moscow, and Furdan, with your own provinces with over 15 development.

Starting as Munich, own: London, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Chester, Milan, Dortmund and Piedmont

Referencing FC Bayern Munich, and the provinces required cover the home city of just about every other top-crop European football club

Background: King Ludwig II of Bavaria constructed Castle Neuschwanenstein and was infamous for his obsession with castles (Neuschwanenstein, Herrenchiemsee, Linderhof). Then, own Kyoto and Musashi as core provinces, move capital into Japan region, and change primary culture into Japanese group.
And Keep discipline over 120%.
(Forming Japan will not prevent this achievement)

(I heard that Shaolin temple is locate in 鄭州(Zhengzhou), but I couldn't figure out which province (either Kaifeng? or Luoyang?) is representing Zhengzhou in EU4)

• Study of Mito

As Japan with Confucianism as the state religion, move capital to Hitachi province, and harmonize 7 religions including Shinto.
(Instead, 'Sweet Harmony' will be prevented to achieve when you are Japan)

Inspired by 水戸学(Mitogaku), the study of history and political philosophy based on Neo-Confucianism and Shintoism, arisen in 水戸藩(Mito domain).
