cover: Hehe, new edition to the CC, comagoosies' comments. The cover this time does seem familiar in the way your avatar looks. I am not too familiar with anime, honestly I have never watched a show in my life, but what the cover is…is…interesting, I have no clue what it is like to watch one of those. The guy kind of reminds me of Hitler.
canonized and english patriot: Wow a co-article written by two people we don't normally see write! Was the forum a fury? Yes, and a spamming ground, and not even I could stay immune. Couple of nice interviews, it seems you have covered all bases in a relatively short amount of questions. Mods, AARland, General,...Not MP?, I am kidding. Canonized did all the work while EP did the opening and closing, is this some fair deal? I think canonized's name should be in bold. Enough silliness, every gamer that knows of paradox is awaiting HOI3 with glee, they just hope it won't turn up like a flop, kind of like Rome, though this doesn't say that Rome AARs are bad, mind you. Will HOI3 be good for AARland? Definitely, no doubt about it, I just hope that more people will then discover Rome and either comment on an AAR or write one.
EUROO7: Me too, I wished for Vicky 2. For reasons inspired by AARs that I have read and what enjoyment the author's seem to be getting out of them, but also because I know that when I buy Vicky paradox will be cruel and announce Vicky II. Honestly, learning curves don't affect me, if I want to play a game, then I will try my best to master it, nothing will bring me down! Grr...CKII, I don't get a good vibe looking at its forum or its AARs, I don't know, but I am glad it isn't CKII, or I wouldn't have bought it, sorry paradox. So I guess paradox compromised with me secretly. They didn't make Vicky II and they didn't make CK II, but let's hope HOI3 is the real deal.
comagoosie: Stunning and beautiful article, simply the best
Snugglie: Hmm...I didn't visit the CK AAR forum too much but I did see phargle's institution, a pity that it had to come to an end. Phargle is more decorated that canonized, what a shocker, I had no idea. We should have a medal count for every major AAR, to see how they rank up, because I had no idea phargle had more, and because I love statistics! Good interview, very in depth. Phargle has another idea?! Oh no, everyone watch out!
Estonianzulu: You lucked out, I forgot to save my notepad file (which is how I do these comments) and I closed the file erasing just yours (I remembered to save it earlier), as consequence, I fear yours might not be as long as it was. No matter, it is a comment. Anyways, in short, I remember what I was getting at was that how I never read any of the books that you mentioned and the first couple AARs, like Into the West, but coz1. Yet Fire warms the Northern Heart, I am familiar with, yet I have never commented on it, I can see what you mean when you say that it is hip and popular, but it will sometimes lag, nevertheless it will leave it mark on AARland, most likely forever. In addition, I do believe I was a bit stunned when you mentioned timelines fading away, I don't think I can yet comprehend that, and probably neither can canonized, but possibly you speak the truth, and we all must heed it. There is a point where readers can join in and where it is just too much, even with chapter summaries. I suppose each and every AAR has its hay day and then it putters and then it picks up again, a cycle that is broken by too many variables to be named. I guess the only thing that I can say is "only time will tell"
Murmurandus: Hehe, that canonized figure sure does demand a lot doesn't he, hehe. Feist? Never heard of it, and how can he milk it more than canonized? Where do people get these cows?! 289K is a lot, you have got to be kidding yourself, I think if you combined all of my updates for
Rome you might get half that! Don't get down on yourself, share the novel with us, we are the best pre-audience an author can ask for. Hmm...I don't see my name anywhere in your post... Never mind, we love you Murmy, and support you!
spl: You again! Kidding, you and me are good friends, err... I hope so! I suppose this is here to stay! Good, great, I might have need of this someday. Two character writers of the week but only two writers of the week!? Happy birthday you three.
trekaddict: How enlightening! I never knew the germans had in minds a bomber that could go from france to the US. I can't imagine the impact it could have, if a bomber let his bombs go on New York City. The results would have been catastrophic, and in the worst case scenario, from my perspective would be the US withdrawing from the war to save its east coast cities. I wonder how the world would have turned out then! Though this is probably unlikely, your article was still a fascination. Those germans did have some pretty weird designs. Btw, what is the name of your book, and does it come in english?
Masked Pickle: The assassination of the Alexander Obrenović was not the only things that caused WW1. If I remember correctly, there were 3 crises and 3 wars that led up to WW1, so if the mod were to be made historically as possible, one would have to conisder the 6 things. Anyways, very interesting how the modder interpreted what would happen if WWI didn't happen. Seems right to me. This mods looks very interesting. I can't wait for the AI to be enhanced and version 1.0 comes out.
EEmperor: I have read a few HOI2 AARs, and I have read even fewer 1914 AARs (in fact none). It does look like a good AAR, though, I should give it a read.
Capibara: Wow it is amazing how much you know about your country and its regions. I couldn't tell you what Michigan is famous for, and I live in it! You on the other hand, know every region and can state what it is famous for. Amazing! By the next few AARlander I will know more about Mexico than America
Degeme: Good to see you contribute, and by the sounds of it, I will be seeing more of you. Nice info on Moscow, from a tourist that has been there. Whistling at girls? That must have been embarrasing, but surely all of them couldn't have been! Unless there is something you are not telling us.
more to come...
