We saw a number of longstanding works voted upon here, but also many new ones. Also some multiple nominees, as we have come to expect. That's what happens when we have so many great writAARs. In total, there were 36 different AARs given nomination, but there had to be a winner. And thus, your 2020 Historybook AAR of the Year is...

Many congratulations on a win that looked close in the counting but came out quite ahead when all was done. Excellent! :)

For 2nd place, we see another newer work...

And finally for the bronze (which was close to 2nd place)...

So many great works! Congrats to each and every one that found mention here, but most certainly to our winner @mad orc for an excellent Vickie 2 AAR! Now is the time all of you may offer your congrats and speak of the AAR should you wish. Look for the Narrative winner tomorrow (likely early in the day.) :)

Holy Hell, 2nd Place!

With the quality of the competition, I was just happy to get on the board. That AARland enjoyed FAWHA enough to let it get anywhere near first place, much less outscore all but Jihad (which, if ever there were a deserving winner, then Jihad is it)...

Thank you to everyone who voted, whether for FAWHA or something else; congratulations to fellow podium placers @mad orc and @Wraith11B; a huge thank you to @coz1 for organising the AwAARds; and three cheers for AARland!

Many congratulations to our winners and runners-up, and very well done to all nominees! Special thanks of course to all who gave Echoes a vote. Highly appreciated, all.

Very glad to see Vicky so strongly represented on the board. Speaks well of the theory that we're having something of a renaissance over in the sub-forum.

There was a time a few years ago when the HistorybookAAR of the year seemed like a legendary award to me. I saw some of my most fav AAR's winning it. Today I feel like I have joined their ranks!

Thankyou every one
Truly I feel blessed
This has been a team effort though
The awesome people who regularly comment on the AAR and help me in my downtime are also a part of this victory. I would like to thank @HyperTwerp once again for giving me this idea last year when I was all out of ideas

Congrats once again to all my voters and readers without whom this was impossible. Thanks for voting for me. We have put Jihad in the history books with this :)

Congratulations @mad orc , and to the two podium finishers. I'm impressed by the sheer number of nominees, and by the fact that @Wraith11B found himself on the podium in a category where Hoi3 is somewhat underrepresented. Great effort all around, history books are fun, and few more so than those on the AAR forums.

Congratulations to our undeserved winners, may you choke upon your stolen glories. No, I'm not bitter at all about losing. Why do you ask? ( ;) )
