How long does it take you to get 1000 population?

In my lastest game, playing as Driven Assimulator, it took me 78.4 years.

Of that population, the ¨Omni¨ population was 564 of my robots, 231 of my cyborg humans, and the rest were some aliens I´d assimulated. And yes, that is 30 planets on my Tiny Outliner mod.

Game difficulty Grand Admiral scaling on, mid/endgame 2300,2400, Glavius mod on.

How long does it usually take you to get to 1000 pop? Post some screenshots.

Edit: yes this is 2.2.5, and yes, I posted this to illustrate how broken DA are in 2.2.5, lol

How long does it take you to get 1000 population?

In my lastest game, playing as Driven Assimulator, it took me 78.4 years.

Population growth and population size is a function of planet count. It's possible to have a population of 1000 with 10,30,50 planets, but all of those would look like very different empires. Unfortunately for your interests, I don't give any weight to arbitrary population numbers like 1000, so it's not possible to show you a screenshot of the games I've played long enough to reach a thousand pops.

I didn´t post this to brag, just to illustrate why Driven Assimulators may be a tad OP in 2.2.5,
anyhow, I did not cheat or use any mod other than tiny outliner and glavius mod. It is ironman, I can post save game if people really doubt me.

Edit: Also, I didn´t really set out to max pop growth, I just saved a screenshot when I hit 1k, because ... damn thats ridiculous number of population.

Last I've played was a hive build and very low aggression game. Got around 600 at the same time with half as many planets. With 50% habitability on almost everything but Tomb worlds, could've grown much bigger. Will try ravenous swarm or FPs just to see how efficient it will be. DA are strong and fun, but I've got my doubts about them being the strongest.

The game setup has a large influence on it. I usually play on small/medium maps with non scaling GA and with a regular empire it's usually 90-100 years to grow to 1000 pop. I am sure with a specially crafted setup (for example, large and more crowded galaxy, scaling difficulty etc...) it's possible to get to 1000 pop much quicker.

What's broken about DA in 2.2.5?

Maybe? at that point in game though i had only assimulated 200 or so pops.
here is another screenshot from less than 7 years later when I have assimilated about 450 alien pops... but i still have almost 800 robots omnis and almost 300 human cyborgs, a total of 1050+ robots and humans...

What's broken about DA in 2.2.5?

the double population growth, which let me build 57 more humans, and 214 more robots in 7 years, and the assimulation of aliens, which gave me an extra 250 population in 7 years. True, normal empires could have conquered those 250 population too, but could they have built 214 robots? My homeworld alone has 9.2 robot growth per month. My new colonies have 3.68 robots per month, and both generate 3.79 organic cyborgs per month.

100 pops in 2220. Regular empires usually hit 100 pops in 2230s.
No conquest, GA no scaling, that's why I started building up my fleet to deter aggression.

Pop numbers in themselves are not that usefull for the additional reason that differing empires are of differing effectivness in converting those numbers into productive Pops. Hive minds beeing a prime example having in general bigger raw Pop numbers, but a higher percentage of those Pops "wasted" maintaining those Pops.
