A side question here - if we've modded some files (and, naturally, saved all the originals) do we need to change the game files back again before we update with the patch, or will the patch just replace everything?

I would put the original files back, or better make a separate desktop folder copy of the game to do all your modding with, this way you'll always have a permanent "official" version on your C drive, and then a modding playground to play off of on your desktop which you can tweak to your heart's content.

When a new patch comes out, just save copies of the files you edited in your desktop folder, junk the desktop folder, make a new one with the contents of the newly patched base game, and then after you play the new patch for a while, see what modifications that you made from before are still needed in your desktop mod copy version.

Re the AI getting a handle on the rebels, I would most likely assume that part of the solution will involve tweaking the conditions under which rebels spawn, just as what the community has been doing here with tweaks to the various files, so I think the whole "rebel issue" will be tackled in that sense.

one thing that bothers me in my current game is that money has no worth anymore.
yeah, a strange sentance, let me try to explain it.

playing as sweden i formed scandinavia and game is going well, made it to place 7 in the great powers.
it´s working so well that i constandly have a +100 or more in my budged so now around 1875 i have over 1 million pound in my purse. the thing is, what to do with money?

i have no valid use for so much money. there is nearly nothing that can directly be bought with money, only some events like the trade-fair or nile expedition.
i would like to see some dipomatic options where you could use money. right now there is only war subsidary wich is nice, but how about money in peace talks or as a gift?

would be cool if more possibilitys where made to use money.

Will something be done about bureaucrats? because right now if you have a high literacy and admin efficency above 40 % they just keep increasing even at minimal spending.

You have no national debt and can lower taxes and spend as much as you can. There is your reward.

Are poptype values going to be changed?

What's been offered is all good stuff, but I'm wondering if craftsmen and Capis are going to be expected to continue to starve through the beginning of the game (and on). Are clergy going to be impossible to hold? Etc. None of those are as bad as rebellions (which are being addressed) though they might be a cause...

I wait with much anticipation! :D

I think his point is that you can't use that surplus for anything other than lowering costs for your pops and buying an army. I'd like to see economic aid introduced(like war subsidies, but without the war).

That would be very interesting, being able to prop up a nearby government with economic aid.....although if everyone is already awash with money, it would be rather useless :p

System definately needs tweaking.

I agree. I would love to be able to aid German minors as Prussia, or Texas as the USA.

About the rebels; I would gladly see rebels made stronger, but less tempted to form an armed revolution at every turn.

I doubt you can reveal us when this update is coming out? ;)

In Patch 1.2, can you give non-American countries the same rights to use Immigration Nation Focus in their homelands, please?

If you want to differentiate the capability of immigration attraction of different continent, you can give the Americas a 20% boost, and the rest 10%. But please DON'T deprive the other countries of the opportunity to use Immigration NF. Please!

I would love to see a use for all of this money I'm having in my pockets.

I'd love to have a 'delete general' button in the patch. You have no idea how many bad generals are clogging up my general screen.

This would be a great. Just a little touch that would make army management much easier.

actually we tried this just before 1.1 but it was very unbalancing and we didnt have time to polish it so it was cut. we might add something like this back in a future patch however if its needed.

So how is a LF government supposed to industrialize unindustrialized states? It's rather mind boggling that this didn't come up (or wasnt addressed) in the design or testing stages...

Could someone from PI tell me how to industrialize a LF country, please.
