Text in all the wrong places

So i bought eu 4 months ago have have never been able to figure out this problem the text is in the wrong places it prevents me from even playing the game.

Bumping is not cool, especially after only 6.5 hours, and especially on a weekend. I get to this forum almost every day, but I do have to sleep some time - your OP was 1:30am my time.

Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local content" in Steam-EU4
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/EU4 AND Documents/Paradox/EU4
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

IF that doesn't help post a dxdiag.txt (you can delete everything after the end of the "Sound devices" section for brevity) and your Documents/EU4/settings.txt. From your Documents/Paradox/EU4/logs/ directory, post system.log . Open setup.log in notepad and search for 'checksum', post that line only here too please.

seems like you are playing with mods (your starting date is only avariable with mods). Maybe you have an not updated mod for the current game version installed!? If so try running the game without mods and if it's fine find the problem mod
In every major update (1.6 ; 1.7...) some interface elements get changed, so if the mod uses old interface files, this could be the problem.

If i'm wrong feel free to correct me

I've done what Andrew has said, three times since his post but it seems like the the problem still seem to happen. And i don't think it was the "Etended Timeline Mod." I've been having this problem since the day i bought the game. Thanks for the
help, but i don't think i'll be able to fix the problem anytime soon.

Allright, so i deleted the settings.txt file like you said. And i also got the dxdiag file with everything past sound deleted. But for some reason when searching for the "checksum" in the systems log it wouldn't come up for some reasson, (when searching for the word "check sum" nothing would come up highlighted."

I'll continue to update drives and video cards, i think that maybe the problem. I can't really find anyone else who has had a problem like this before..... so strange.

Perhaps not specifically like this, but Intel video drivers from 2013 or earlier are notorious for display problems in our games.

Tried loading the game up for the lasted patch and see if i could the game to work right. I'm still having the same issue, my drivers have all be updated and still the problem still comes up. I can't be the only person having this issue...

You said upthread you'd fixed it, but now - what? It broke again after a period? Is the problem exactly the same as before?
