True, but he may still burn some money on forts/soldiers etc.

BTW, although I for some strange reason cannot ghost, someone else might ghost anyone missing and in that case you do not miss much by being absent, not in pre-trade times at least.

Daniel could you please explain how come you have maps of all Asia/China including uncolonised provinses in India?

I've checked the 1434 save where you have only limited knowledge, and checked your nieghbors in that period, who know between 10 and 16 provinses unknown to you.

But in the 1455 save you have knowledge of the entire maps to China/India. I know you have MA to some of the nation, but i can't see how you could have gained knowledge of ALL provinses.

From what I have noticed, you can explore enemy territories that are Terra Incognita, so my guess would be that he has attacked some poor nation that has maps over Asia, then explored his way to the capital, sacked it and stole their maps.

Well, if you check the MAs you will find the explanation. As for the uncolonised I am as well a little surprised. It can have to do with my little armies fighting rebs and winning. During my walks around the Indian peninsula I was of course always unable to enter these provinces.

Also when you play SP it is my experience that sometimes uncolonised provinces become detected although you have no explorer or conquistador. I never understood that but, as I said, it can have to do with winning battles even if you are not at war and for instance win a naval battle and get knowledge of "all of their known provinces" or whatever that message is.

For the time being it does not matter because I do not intend to colonise them.

Daniel used MA or capture AI`s capitals to get map, nothing new.

In fact most of GMs should think about limitting expansion to east in further games.

I know that, but we are talking like 400 provinses, which will take a while to enter even with MA, and that doesn't explain uncolonised provinses. For those you need an explorer, sacking capital won't reveal them.

Sacking capitals show uncolonized provinces if capital`s owner knew them.
Sharing maps doesn`t.

No I only fought the Timurids. And that was when the exploration was already done.

BTW, this is standard practice for me when playing an Easterner. Did the same in C&C2 IIRC and definitely in EGA5.

If it is some consolation for you I can tell you it was not free of charge. ;)

Yep, that's it. Just loaded as the Timurids in the starting save the previous session. The Timurids knew of all of India. So now you know that  :D

That was what I said, you attacked some nation, explored your way to their capital (or just walked, it doesnt matter) and sacked their capital.

Hope is the last thing that leaves a man, as they say. :)

I like women, I think you have gotten it wrong, what I meant was that the man looked nice, as in kind and so on, not as in handsome or cute, or perhaps you are just messing with me. :)
