1936 scenario, playing Nationalist China.
Situation:
Have been at war with Japan for ages and captured their mainland territory.
Got into a war with the Axis alliance by attacking Hungary. Japan were part of the Axis by this time. On the diplo screen it shows Japan in a seperate war with China and also in the Axis alliance war.
I make a white peace with Hungary to end the war with the Axis leaving my seperate war with Japan to continue. However all the territory I'd captured from Japan was ceded back to them. I was easily able to trundle a few cavalry units through them to get them back, but it could have been a major disaster.
