Can't Pardox sue the reviewer or their company for loss of earnings or somesuch? Surely when they send out review copies the reviewer has to sign something saying they won't pirate the game or publish it themselves etc.?

On a side note, anyone remember Moo3? A beta version send for review to an Austraian games map and they released it on the coverdisk as a demo.

I know it really won't have much effect on the sales, but shouldn't the reviewer be punished somehow? Piracy is illegal afterall.

Ofcourse I understand that Paradox is pissed off, but I sincerly hope this will not spill over on those of us that is eagerly awaiting the release so we can buy the game and enjoy it.

Sue the bastards and use the money to produce patches and new wonderfull games..

Its hard to justify spending money on patches for a game that does not gives us back our investment.

Or in layman terms. If the game sells less than we need, we need to do something else if we prefer paying rent on time and eat our daily food.

Yeah, but how many Joe schmuck's want a game about 19th industrialisation? Vicky is a fairly nitch game for strategy gamers and the marjority of Joe schmucks would not play vicky if you gave it to them free.

Pirates are dicks and should Paradox find out where the ones who host Vicky live I would be quite happy to walk round and administer a sound beating. Patric & co are quite right to be angery about their game being pirated, having said that, most of the people who get the pirate copy will people who just don't buy games. They won't say "Hmm, Victoria and Silent storm are both in stores, I think I'll get a warez copy of Vic and buy SS", they just pirate both games like they do with any others they want.
