Refering to it being Gestapo is not really saying... But as you stated, it´s a game... A simulator and to that it does a great job doing it... And honestly, it´s only a minority that see this as an issue and there are probably mods that "fix" it anyway... Really dislike how the ones who scream the loudest, even a minority will have their way... This has ruined many games when they get "dumbed" down since people just can´t play the game as was intended... So to use your phrase... It´s a game, so you can´t expect to do whatever you like anyway... I would have liked aging and maintenance of buildings and having to replace them every now and then, but that is not likely to happen... So I play it how it is, since it´s a game... Also, it´s not really "us" telling you what you can and can´t do... It´s the game that restricts you, not "us", the developers who have made the decision, not "us"... So please don´t refer to "us" as gestapo when "we" just try to have a meaningful discussion just because you don´t like what´s being saidPsst, I'll let you in on a secret... IT'S A GAME! Not real life ffs! People are free to play as they see fit, we don't need the Cities Skylines Gestapo telling what we can and can't do
Don´t quote the whole post, but map looks "great", I personally wouldn´t go that way with it but it´s artistic nonethelessIt has to do with two things, the missing water tool and the soil limitation.
However the issue you are having with lack of water tools, I can stand behind... It would have made the task easier and could have been used elsewhere to greate small lakes and ponds to beautify the city... And yes, perhaps soil limitations needs a bit balancing, but I haven´t had any issues with it being a limitation... But I don´t undertake such projects (yet) anyway... And if I do, I either find a mod that helps the case or live with the restrictions the game provides... Most likely I would mod it myself to have it just how I like it...
