You would think that a desert would severely hurt artillery and cavalry... but maybe they don't mean the Sahara Desert type of desert, but more of a New Mexico desert.

Just wanted to note that the info on that web site is from EU1 not EU2. I do not know if it works the exact same, as there were lots of changes made. Looking at the other info on the page a lot of it is wrong for EU2.
I'm pretty sure there are some penalties for cavalry in desert... don't quote me on that, but I just remember reading it somewhere.
Yes but, do you think the majority of XV through XIX century cavalry units consisted of Dromedary regiments?
