maybee at teh end but they sould not be before it, they were not until the end of the latin realms on the holy land.

In the later 12th century they transfered 30,000 marks to the Holy Land from King Henry II of England and they held the mortgages on the lands of many crusaders.

Why not give them bonus in techs, after all they were the ones who developed much of Europe, revoltize the archeiture. Also, they brought the knowledge to Europe.
