Reichstag Dec. 17. 1943
Göring: Velcome to our little afternoon meeting gentlemen. I zink it ziz about time ve had a little get together to discuss vhat ve have accomplished zese past 4 years.
Hess, you go first.. What iz our status research-wise?
Hess: Vell, i think it ziz safe to say that ve are vay ahead of everyone else, except maybe ze Japanese. I don't knov vhat could ever top their advancements in naval technologies really.
And yes, our rocket and aircraft engineers have just informed me, that zey are ready to start on a more thorough research onto aircraft that use rockets for propulsion, instead of props. Imagine how fast zey vill go! All ze allied aircraft vould be helplessly left behind, and it vould be like trying to hit a bee with a machine gun.
But let me shov you some examples on vhat our research looks like nov.
Here are the charts i had our tech teams draw up for you, and an overwiev on hov they effect our troops ships and industry in reality.
Göring: Zehr gut. Vhat about our production? I heard zere vas a delay on our new ships.
Raeder: Ja, zere vas, vhy dont you ask Funk vhere he has been squandering our precious Industries!
Funk: Calm down man, ve had to divert more industries to deal vith the needs of our land forces in Russia, along with several crucial upgrades to our war machinery.
Brauchitsch: Ja, our troops needed new shipments of MP-40 rifles and more advanced fighting gear and supplies in general. I zink you can agree that The army must take priority over everything else right now, no?
Raeder: And vhat vill happen to your precious armies vhen ze allies break through our old ships in the Atlantic, and start massive assaults on the beaches of britain and the rest of Europe when ve have no new ships to counter zem? I vould remind you, that more than 3 years of endless naval combat has reduced our navy to just 2 carriers, 1 battlecruiser, 5 super heavy battleships and an assortment of old kreuzergs.
Brauchitsch: Zen zey vill learn zat our defenders are not zat easy to overcome!
Funk: Gentlemen gentlemen, calm down. I have already cancelled the rest of the land force production and diverted all available industried back to producing the naval ships that were supposed to be finished 2 months ago.
Also, i have added 6 new battlecruisers, 5 Super heavy battleships and 4new carriers to be built, so i zink you vill find ze Kriegsmarine vill no longer have to be at a disadvantage for much longer.
Göring: Vell zen, does someone still vant to add something?
Beck: Ja, i vanted to bring you up to speed on vhat our armees have accomplished in Russia. I zink you vill be most pleased vith our progress.
Beck: As you can see our troops have already reached the northwestern shores of the Caspian sea, and in addition, the Zoviet forces are almost beaten everywhere. Though zere are pockets of stiff resistance in both Crimea and another one in Karelia near the Finnish border, ve can safely say, zat ze war is almost over here. Our analysts and generals say that when ve reach Sverdlovsk, ze Zooviets vill have no choice but to surrender. Zey are already stretched zo thin, zat ve regularly have 40 divisions attacking 2 of theirs at worst, and no opposition in almost half of the front now.
Göring: Ach, zat is exzellent news gentlemen. Zis war in Russia has taken zo many brave German soldiers, it ziz about time it came to a favorable end.
But vhat of ze resisting civilian populations?
Beck: Our generals assure us, zat once ze Zoviets surrender, the resistance vill mostly die down, just as it did in France. And the rest can be picked up by our military police death squads, and retributionary executions of civilians.
Göring: Very gut zen. Gentlemen, let's go back to vork and end zis war as fast as ve can, so that ve can concentrate i our next objective: Taking the middle eastern oil countries, and smashing the allied navies once and for all.
