Knock knock knocking on Stalin's door!
The road of the wehrmacht had been full of bloodshed, not the least because all of her enemies had been a pushover until now. The Russians were no different int he fact that for each Wehrmacht soldier they managed to kill, 20 of theirs would die too.
The Russians however had one thing different. They would keep on coming no matter how many of them would die in battle. Both the German and allied leaders realized however, that this would not last forever. The mighty Soviet army of over 500 divisions had been reduced by almost 200, although the Soviets would continue to build more, they would not be able to keep up with the losses for much longer, as their industrial and population rich zones in the European side had almost completely been run over.
Now, as the month of July of 1943 was coming to an end, the news of the fall of Moscow, Britain and Iceland was reaching every corner of the world.
The British Royal family who had retreated to Canada, and contrary to Stalin's words, he himself had retreated further into the Siberian wastes, and with the loss of so many allied warships, the allies and Soviets were beginning to realize that they would not win the war.
Also, many of the previously neutral countries of Europe had joined the war in Germany's side, such as Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy and lastly Portugal, it looked certain that Europe would be german controlled for the next few decades atleast.

Raeder: Our navy is taking part in ze luftwaffe operation to bomben all ze British fleets at Gibraltar, but with not much success. Ve risk losing much of our fleet if ve go head on against their main fleets. Ve have great ships yes, but ve have not enough of zem!
Göring: Good to hear zat, and yes, i have zought of zat too. I ordered 10 nev super heavy battleships and 8 advanced air carriers to be built. Zey should be completed sometime next year.
Raeder: Ah zehr gut. I vas hoping you had seen ze light as zey say.
Göring: Vell, if zat is all, i vould like to hear some statistics of ze war now. How have ve impacted ze allies ability to make var on us?
Rommel: Vell, as you can zee from ziz chart, ze Zooviet forces have been beaten back quite nicely. Our estimates put their losses somewhere between 150 to 200 divisions and zeir navy and airforce is worse zan pathetic.
Raeder: Ze Kriegsmarine has excelled in nearly every battle, with minimal casualties. Although we lost Ze battlecruisers Scharnhorst und Gneisenau, und Ze carrier Graf Zeppelin, our losses hav e been minimal.
