Riga into Kurland :
Well this one was a challenge and not just for me. I decided to team up with a buddy of mine playing as Muscovy to really get the ball rolling with Riga.
Session One - by Muscovite Blood
The first action was to declare war on the Livonian Order. In a mainly absentee war, the Livonian order was having its own problems coming to the aid of the Teutonic Order in a war with the Polish-Lithuanian Union, it all came down to the seige of Liefland. The Livonian armies returned with the siege not finished. It was at this point I enllisted the help of Muscovy. My buddy sent a Condottieri army to clean up the armies while I finished the siege. And so Latvia was annexed. With that out of the way I turned my attention to the now brutalised Teutonic Order.. I declared war for Memel. The following war was against both the Livonian Order and Teutonic Order after their truces expired. Estonia was annexed and the rest of East Prussia. Together with Muscovy Riga then supported the independence of Sweden to get Danish Karelia for Muscovy and gain another ally. All in all the session was a success for us both.
Session two - Reaching for the New World
The session started with a war against Denmark in which we looked to secure the independence of Norway. Gotland and Bornholm where annexed by Riga and Kola by Muscovy and Norway released. Then a period of peace in which I caught up on Admin tech and development. Muscovy expanded in the Steppes whilst I looked for an opportunity. It came in the form of a no-CB war with a newly independent Iceland. Vassalising them there claims on Norway became my leverage into Western Scandinavia. After Annexing most of Norway and Jylland and adopting Protestantism my country was ready to transform. Kurland was formed and colonies established in Canada. Next session we deal with Sweden but mission accomplished.
Session Three - Kurlandian Greed and Russian Resurgence
War with Sweden when poorly and Kurland lost territory in Denmark and Norway. It was a blow to the economies of Kurland and Muscovy who suffered at the hands of Crimean rebels. We needed to rebuild. Kurland invaded and annexed an independent Galedom (Scotland), annexed what remained of Norway and vassalised Denmark. Whilst keeping an eye on Poland Sweden and England. The real gains for Kurland were in the new world where colonial Canada and America are in their infancy. Muscovy formed Russia after integrating Perm and Ryzan and Russian Aggression turned swiftly to the east to push back the horde.
