how did you used to make the AON scenario. Does one person manage all the files or several one.
I would personally love that ifu becomes more open source that everybody can edit, create events etc and send out the files. Any ideas how to manage that?

I believe that only one person collects and modifies everything for AoN. You should ask in AoN forum.

I haven't been involved with the AoN for a while now, but when I was, Styrbiorn and Vulture collected the files and changes between them and sent it out to the developers.

As is probably inevitable with such a large project, there were a couple instances of changes being lost instead of being incorporated or between versions.

If you want more than one or two specific people to be able to change files directly, probably the best (free) tool to manage this is CVS. This is a very complex tool; if you don't know what you're doing already, it'll take a great deal of effort to get it up and running. You'll also need a unix host for the files.
