Ok, this is a problem.
I am playing france and the year is about 1773. I have all of north america about 90% of it as cities, all of france some of italy and about 1/5 of spain and 1/2 of ireland. I have very good relations with everyone.
Here is the bitch. for me to advance 1 level in any technology it is costing me somthing on the order of 30000 to 40000 pts on average. Ok, I can see increasing the cost for large countires but this is crazy. Evne though I make 8000 or 9000 a year this still take forever for me to advance. litlle 4 or 5 provence countries are 8 or 10 levels in tech ahead of me.
I also hae distilleries and research centers all over the place, but when you have to spend 40k to advance the 5 or so pts you get from a factory is a complete joke.
is there any way to modify this? I would not mind spending 2 or 3 times what a small country spends but 10 or 15 is crazy!!!!!!!!!!
