What happened with these plans?
So throughout the whole game the player will have the same model/level on infantry, armoured troops, militia etc.?
Okay good that we have the military doctrines left but I would like that we also spare "Units", where you upgrade your infantry, motorized, mountain units. Yes I know that all forces used weapons taken from JNA but it would be nice to at least minor improve the stats of the units just to have something to develop. And some variation of the models would be nice. Is it not boring to see the same model pictures in the whole campaign. :unsure:
It was actually a JRH's idea to use events. I've written 3 decisions which are in the game already but not tuned. The idea is that after you have a certain number of a unit type, model = x player gets a decision to open up next mode (x+1).
I've grouped them by IC levels but this is poorly balanced. Have a look at event/misc.txt for details.
Well I like the idea of events and decisions but I would still like that the player is able to upgrade some stuff via techs. I understand that we don't need like for navy or air doctrines but at least it should be able to upgrade certain unit types via events, maybe some rare ones(motorized, armoured, mountaineer) while those the player have a lot of like militia is upgrades via decisions/events. Do you understand what I mean? o
New task for you please. This is about techs balancing. As I was explaining in the main thread, land Docs was really job done quickly with a bit of randomness. I've picked the techs according to what they sounded like a country could need.
Could you add up all effects by year so we can see how balanced they are? Post results here so we can have a discussion...
Idea is to give some defensive techs to Croatia and Bosnia in the first years and some offensive in the later. Serbs should depend a lot on firepower and some techs to help manpower management and containment towards 1995.
National ideas are similar concept we had in other Paradox games. We wanted to use this to mode AI behaviour and encourage players to achieve these ideas. Here are some possible choices for NIs:
Serbs: Yugoslavia, Great Serbia and Greater Serbia.
Croats: Great Croatia or Greater Croatia
Other Techs are not there so if you have any ideas let me know. Any comments are welcome.

Each major country will have similar tech. I think we would trigger an event adding cores, some event will be influenced by the Ideas, etc...It would be great if we also could add Bosniak and Albanian national ideas. Have you made some national province giving events when Croatia or Serbia researches the 'Great' or 'Greater' techs?
I think JRH was especially keen on this. I would like this very much as long as we can make it balanced... or these can make non-Serb parties even the odds to win.I remember that we talked about having techs to approach the West, East and Middle east for gathering weapons. Have we thrown those ideas in the garbage can or are those still under "Secret Weapons"?
