Technology Question

Ok I need some help. I'm Castille and the year is 1460. When I look at the technology map all of Europe is 4,4,4 for technology, but I am 3,3,3. What am I doing wrong? I control Grenada and have $500 cash but technology sucks. Any help is appreciated, thanks

Castile has shit rulers.

Disiherit (if you have the dlc for it...) and buy as many advisors as possible. Basically only spend monarch points on tech, coring granada, and coring portugals stuff so you can vassalize them eventually. Other than that, only spend them on technology.

Yeah, your starting ruler and heir are garbage. Make your king a general and disinherit your heir. If you have a royal marriage with Austria and rival France, there is a good chance you will get a Habsburg for an heir. That can come in handy down the road in getting PUs.
